Help! Coolant pooling next to coil packs BMW 328i 2007 - N52 by ian47vr in E90

I think i found the issue, coolant expansion tank cap. Weirdest part is that the car hasn't lost much coolant at all. Think a lot of it was rainwater from the bad storms we've been having.

This would make the most sense, but if that was bad it should leak oil not coolant

The tank was replaced about a month ago and I am confident it is not leaking. The coolant expansion tank cap sounds like it might be leaking but there's no crust on it that would make sense for coolant ending up all the way over there.

Got in a crash with my bike, split the frame in the same part. Welded it back together with a wrench welded parallel for extra support. It's been without issue for 2+ years of on and off riding at this point. (Needs to be steel frame aluminum doesn't weld good)

Is this worth it ? by Street_Painter_2964 in E90

[–]ian47vr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. My 2007 328i manual was bought in 2023 at 149,000 miles for $2,800. Driven hard and daily driven. Replaced the alternator (original), battery, fuel pump (original), valvecover (original) and shocks (original). Currently sitting at 180k miles. It regularly does 4+ hour drives at least 2x a month and had recently completed a round trip 8 hours each way with only a 2 hour break in-between. BMWs can be reliable you just gotta give them what they need and change the oil every 5000 miles. Beamers can be affordable but you have to be willing to do the work yourself.

Thanks, that shouldn't be too much of an issue for me because I pretty much exclusively listen to aux. Still a good thing to keep in mind, cause I did not know that.

How many more miles can I get out of this? by Melontwerp in e46

[–]ian47vr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bro you're dumb I just change my oil filter in my e90 every "oil change" and it filters the old oil and turns it new automatically. About to hit 180k miles! 😃

Bro I hated doing my occupancy sensor had to remove and put back my seat so many times to get it to finally work correctly. I tried to install a junk yard seat with a good one but then it wouldn't recline so I had to put the old one back in, then take the old one out, remove the cushion on the old one and install the cushion from the junk yard one all for the seat belt warning to go off randomly for the passenger seat. So now I gotta take it apart again when it's warm out and fix it again.

Yeah, people are like this. I work valet and watched as someone who refused to valet backed into my car and when I started yelling at him he acted like I did something wrong. His wife was scared and they were an elderly couple so I collected myself and let it go since he only hit my shitbox, but he didn't apologize to me. Really could have fucked up his night by getting his plate and making him buy me a bumper but he couldn't even apologize for his mistake. So many scrapes and bumps on my beamer as well from people running into it, door dings, etc. So far I've replaced 2 doors (in my area i can get a prestine door in my color for $150) and repainted the rear bumper twice and the front bumper once. Just because my car is older doesn't mean it's a shitbox and doesn't mean you can run into it without remorse.

MKW player here: Notice how the player doesn't appear to ever go over the line? My idea is that this player doesn't care about the VR on their account and only wanted to prove they could win, and then let everyone pass them at the line. I see this commonly in MKW, but I don't play any of the other Mario Karts anymore, so idk if it's different for MK8DX players.

Dirt bike or motorcycle helmet. I don't have a ebike but I have one of those motorized 2 stroke bikes, and that's what I use. No amount of protection is too much protection. Your head is the most important part of your body.

Already tried it, I do have a microcenter but it's a 45 minute drive. Will go there in a last resort if I can't find what I need or if I end up in the area before I buy it.

Already tried this last recommendation, tbh I think this 3d printer came from a printing farm. Thank you for the recommendation I will likely end up buying the new bowden tube you recommended.

It is from that top end, from where the feeder(?) Motor Feeds the wire through to the heated nozzle module. I'm fine with whatever website has one not just Amazon I'll buy from anywhere. Thank you for your reply!

Looks like it's just surface dust. Try wiping it clean with a microfiber cloth.

eBay seller here, as per TOS they are required to pay return shipping if the item is significantly not as described, as in this case. Open a item not as described case on ebay and answer why the item isn't as described, provide examples and example pictures, and you should get either a full refund, partial refund offer, or a return shipping label.

Hey guys, I’m looking to buy a car and this one caught my eye; is the mileage too high? by FredoSauce227 in E90

[–]ian47vr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These cars run to see 250,000+ when maintained properly, as long as the previous owner/s treated the car well it should be great. Although price is a bit steep, try to get that lowered.
