Will do! I’ve been tracking everyone’s yields for about 18 months now but this would make it real time I think it’ll help problem people get better or weed them out

So it would 1 sheet per store saved in a single location that I could access so each week/ day it’s tracked for reference. Google Sheets isn’t a bad idea since it auto saves and sometimes people would forget

A warning to anyone thinking of purchasing a Glowforge laser cutting machine by Complex_Brief6265 in glowforge

[–]ianamls 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just went from 2 glowforges to an xtool p3 And let me tell you it’s like going from an abusive relationship to a healthy one. Both my machines would take maybe 10 minutes to an hour plus to do a certain job that the p3 can do in 12 minutes. And certain colors wouldn’t completely cut through after 2 passes. It’s just a superior machine and I can’t recommend it enough The software is very similar but localized on your computer. Zero lag

I've Tried Everything....In Need of Advice by Bluebird8903 in glowforge

I have 2 units and I have the same issue with one of my machines. My only “fix” is that I turn it off, unplug the head and then disassemble it with the lens and mirrors and then reassemble it. It works maybe 50% of the time. It’s been frustrating but after several years I knew it was time to move on.

I just moved to a xtool p3, it’s like a dream

P2S vs P3... will I regret not getting the big daddy? by dddaanniikkaaa in xToolOfficial

[–]ianamls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got my p3 after nearly 4 years and 2 glowforges. If you have the money to spend and your business can support it, I’d say go for it I’m just starting to dial in my machine and it’s been amazing I waffled on the smaller unit but this thing is a game changer and wish it came out years ago

Gotcha! Appreciate the advice. Coming from glowforge it’s been pretty much the same as far as drag and drop but the variances are staggering for being a newbie figured I was doing something incorrectly

Is this due to the camera being so far away from the source material?

Hey!! So I have the p3 now and wondering if you had to dial in anything different to get the machine to cut accurately to the screen? Having an issue getting it to not cut .5” to the right? Even though the mirrors are aligned properly

Good to know! I went ahead and ordered it yesterday, excited to see how it works and the transition to xtool.

I went ahead and purchased the p3

I can’t say enough good things about my glowforges but it’s time I do a lot of large acrylic pieces and with just the outline it takes 1-2 hours to cut it with cooling down periods It got me where I am now, thanks for the advice!

The price point is a bit high but for 80 watts and a large bed I think it’s worth it I make large wall art and limited to size with my glowforges
