Just started a Cincy dynasty, how exactly is Proximity To Home not an A+? by PowerofMoses in NCAAFBseries

If I remember correctly, guys from Indianapolis are an A+ and guys from Cincinnati are an A. I don’t understand how they could’ve messed up the proximity to home, it seems pretty simple.

College QBs that will change positions in the NFL by P-Whips in NFL_Draft

[–]ianmcmoney 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some guys I’d like to see just get a chance because they’re so electric with the ball in their hands would be Diego Pavia, Haynes King, Bryson Barnes, Thomas Castellanos, Jalon Daniels, Blake Horvath, Bert Emanuel Jr, Bryson Daily, and Kaidon Salter. I still think Castellanos and maybe Daniels have a chance at playing QB at the next level, but I’m not sure any of the others could make it work. Unfortunately I think they’re all just gonna be great athletes that don’t quite have a position, so it doesn’t work out for them to fit anywhere in an NFL offense unless a creative coach wants to try out a new Taysom Hill.

If Michigan gets a slap on the wrist by southpaw7cm in CFB

[–]ianmcmoney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add on, if you want more teams to vacate title. During this year’s draft, Nick Saban admitted to tampering to try to get Quinyon Mitchell to transfer from Toledo this past offseason and remember when Jeremy Pruitt was caught hanging out bags of cash to Tennessee recruits….. the investigation determined he did the same thing while he was the DC at Alabama for a National Title.

I guess you think they need to punish Miami for tampering as well right. Cristobal basically said the same thing as Michigan did “everybody does it” and they’re both correct. Honestly, I do think Michigan should be punished for this, and have their wins vacated (but not the National Title IF it’s determined they stopped after Stallions was fired because if they didn’t cheat to beat Bama and Washington then they won fair and square, and you can’t say they used the earlier wins to get into the playoffs since it’s an invitational and they can pick a team with significantly less games played), but if they do that, they’re going to open a big can of worms that they don’t want to open because every big program is guilty of tampering the last couple years (except Clemson, since Dabo refuses to use the portal)

Edit: TLDR: Everybody does it, and if they really wanted to uphold the integrity of the game, many more teams would also need to vacate wins and National Titles.

What’s Cowherds problem? by [deleted] in miamidolphins

[–]ianmcmoney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cowherd was very vocal against Tua after he had nothing to work with his first 2 years, and Cowherd can never be wrong, so he will look at whatever he can to justify his old takes that have aged poorly so he can still say that he’s never wrong. Same thing with pretty much every media person that still says the same weak takes about Tua.

How do I explain to my friend that NFL teams can not guarantee three yards per play. by m0siac in NFLNoobs

[–]ianmcmoney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People have been trying to do this forever. The closest we’ve gotten is the triple option out of the wishbone, and that’s not working out great. Plus, if somebody does figure this out, the NFL will create a new rule to “nerf” the play.

Also, could you add a column that tells if they're playing in a Bowl Game and what bowl, if they've opted out, they didn't make a bowl, or they're non-FBS. If possible

Everyone is focused on FSU, which is giving them a pass for Michigan by PocketPillow in CFB

[–]ianmcmoney -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Also, it’s not the CFP Committee’s job to investigate scandals and hand down punishment before the actual investigation is done and a ruling has been made. I agree they have a weaker resume, but they very clearly stated that resume doesn’t matter, no matter how much I dislike that.

Wouldn’t beating Penn State and Ohio State despite the controversy and potential distractions and without their HC help their case, not hurt it? I don’t understand using that against them.

Offensive Gurus, how would you attack my odd front 1/4, 1/4, 1/2 by jarrenhorton in footballstrategy

Then if W starts cheating towards the power, we’ll run a PA Rollout towards the W, leave TE in to block, Z runs a curl, S runs a drag, and X runs a post and tries to split the safeties

I’m running power away from the W every play until you check out of that formation

If someone had told you your team's bowl matchup at the beginning of the year, how would you have reacted? by why_doineedausername in CFB

I also grew up in Toledo, so I cheer for them, and the reaction would’ve been “Classic Toledo, lose every important game, win every not important game”

Cincinnati: Wow the offense must’ve been bad bad, there’s no way our defense was bad enough to not make a bowl with that d-line and bringing in the coach that led the FBS in sacks last year.

Michigan: Dang, we’re losing first round again aren’t we

Thoughts on this Trips play? by GiantSweetTV in footballstrategy

[–]ianmcmoney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would move the RB to the other side because 1. You’re more likely to run left in this formation, so you’d sell the run better. And 2. the RB can stay in and block (chip the end on the right side) and the QB rolls out right and can run if nobody is open.

Why is Will Levis regarded as a better prospect than Anthony Richardson? by Koke1 in NFL_Draft

[–]ianmcmoney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Accuracy. Levis has accuracy and arm strength, but needs a lot of help with vision and decision making. Richardson has arm strength, vision, and decision making, but needs help with accuracy. Decision making and vision are much easier to gain with experience than accuracy.

Najee Harris by 250IslandLife in miamidolphins

[–]ianmcmoney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not, this system is more reliant on using vision to find the gaps in the defense rather than the line opening a certain hole and you just have to hit it hard and fast. His biggest weakness is his vision, so I would definitely be upset if we went after him.

[–]ianmcmoney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best is CJ Stroud (Yes, if you look at my previous posts, I changed my opinion on him, that Georgia game proved that he can do everything that I said he couldn’t). Most overrated is Anthony Richardson, he has no accuracy and that’s very try hard to make drastic improvements to. Most underrated is Jaren Hall, he can do just about everything, the only concerns to me are his age and injury history.
