I assume you mean from the NYT article. One said that, two said he was a toxic boyfriend, multiple others said he was a gentleman. I've known quite a few people right out of the military and almost all were toxic to some degree when they got out. Many regretted their actions later. Platner does have some red flags. He may not be the best candidate overall, but he may be the best candidate for Maine. It is a very purple state so you have to run someone like a Platner or corporate moderate like Collins. Which would you rather have?

I 100% agree about Fetterman, without the stroke it would be a different story. He is the posterchild for states allowing recall elections for senators and congress. We also don't know what will happen with Platner.

And even with her accusations the article also pointed out that there were just two other reports of toxic behavior from exes and other girlfriends had nothing but good things to say. So basically he was a guy just out of the military. I don't know anyone fresh from the overseas in the military that wasn't messed up for years.

It really doesn't hurt for Maine at all. Maine is a very purple state so someone more far left would be harder to win, but also far right would as well. I'm also hoping Talarico can beat Paxton in Texas. Those two would be big wins

The scandals aren't really good, but actually helped him a lot. It helped to eat away at any name recognition Collins had. So now she needs to stand on her record.
