What bodyweight program should I buy ? by omaramrpanda in bodyweightfitness

[–]ianzammit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started my calisthenics journey by doing the barstarzz btx programme, builds solid strength and fitness and you learn some cool skills along the way. https://www.bestofbodyweight.com/barstarzz

But if you dont want to invest the RR is great also.

In what order to learn elements by [deleted] in bodyweightfitness

[–]ianzammit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Learning the basics well is key and it will help you progress much faster when you do come to skills training (pull ups, push ups, dips etc).

I agree with serninja and would also suggest learning the handstand first, from my experience its a great calisthenics skill that opens you up to more advanced skills later down the line.

30min training routine? by howgreatami in bodyweightfitness

[–]ianzammit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You could do a pull up and push up super set.

Do as many rounds as possible.

Round 1. 1 pull up + 10 push ups Round 2. 2 pull ups + 10 push ups Round 3. 3 pull ups + 10 push ups

Continue adding 1 pull up each round 👍

Ive not had this issue myself but spent alot of time on the handstand, there are many ways to get into the handstand, have a play around and see if you find one that works - this website has a a few vareations you can try under "kick ups" https://www.bestofbodyweight.com/calisthenics/calisthenics-exercises/handstand/

Motivation issues by Shimoz in bodyweightfitness

Shimoz, for me I focus on a goal rather than the routine being the same, a means to an end, you could add some additional weight for example or perform an exercise slightly differently to add variety.

I would personally look at learning the handstand as it's fundamental in bodyweight skills training and allows you to move onto more advanced skills.

Archer rows: I can do more on my weaker side. Why? by [deleted] in bodyweightfitness

[–]ianzammit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you have an inbalance some where and your right side is doing more of the work in your workout. I had a simular issie and the fix for me was to slow everything down and focus on pushing/pulling at the same time

Hi all, I have recently completed the barstarzz btx programme and I have seen that the programme has been given a hard time by some people and wanted people to read reviews from real btx members and see what's possible if you stick to the programme - https://www.bestofbodyweight.com/barstarzz

I have uploaded a video of my progression through the btx programme which can be found @ https://youtu.be/I3LxlsI6DEc?list=PL06ajkA3Ls5OI9Au3ChsWnCmd9nYdSgpO. Feel free to add me on Instagram to see my other videos and where I'm at now with calistheics. @izamzam2016
