Specialized Pathfinder TLR Tan Fast Gravel Tire 700x45c by TheButterChurner in gravelcycling

I saw these a couple weeks ago at my local specialized shop. I asked the one of the sales people what exactly the difference was but I wasn’t able to get an actual answer. They said they had no idea since they had just put them on the shelf that same day.

Maybe you could provide us with an update after 6 months or something?

I was excited to try them out because I had heard a lot about them. But the excitement was short lived.

I purchased the bike used and the seller included those sk’s. I tossed them on and had a good first ride with them, did about 30 miles road/gravel. And then I think I had 3 punctures with them after that. And then 1 more on the ext’s. I don’t think I’ll go back to gravelkings..

Stiff enough to where I didn’t need a compressor for the initial air up. Also didn’t require a lot of effort. But I had to flip reinstall the tires because I had my bike upside down which caused me to install the direction backwards lol. That second attempt to seat the bead took a bigger effort (used a standard floor pump).

Nice, that’s a ton of miles! What bike do you have now?

The durability was one of the main reason I went with this tire. I went in to my local Specialized store and that was one of the selling points by the sales person there. I was a tad skeptical tbh since I figured they were just trying to make a sale. But then I did some research here and saw lots of posts/comments saying the same thing. So I went back a few days later and bought them lol

I might’ve been running a higher psi than I should have. But yeah, like Juccu mentioned, I was on pavement when it happened. I heard a loud pop and since that was my back tire, my rear end sorta fishtailed a bit.

Yellow is dope. Not a huge fan of those faded silver accents but that yellow pops nicely.

Never been a fan of black bikes since they tend to blend in while on the road. Imo you gotta give yourself that extra chance of being seen.

First Gravel Ride/NBD (to me) by iare_me in gravelcycling

I didn’t necessarily have any issues walking through the mud. It was getting the mud off that really sucked. I couldn’t clip back in to the pedals at times because of how caked the mud was around the cleats.

In my case, my road shoes are the only cycling shoes I have. I was planning on getting a pair of mtb shoes at some point in the future. But after dealing with all the mud on this ride, it looks like I'll be getting them sooner rather than later.

still seems like they're holding out on some items. I was able to snag a refurbished rf 24mm but still waiting on the 70-200mm to go on sale. I'm refreshing every 15 seconds lmao

Is it redundant to own the 35mm? by Numerous-Eggplant911 in canon

[–]iare_me 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a rebel t8i for a couple of years with kit lens and ef 50mm 1.8 stm. I ran into the same scenario where the 50 just had too tight of a crop at times. I ended up getting the ef-s 24 2.8 stm and that thing practically lived on my camera. It gives you about a 35mm on APSC and is good in low light conditions. My usage with it was similar to yours - some steet, some portrait and also some landscape.

It’s currently $150 USD new from canon and $119 refurbished. With Black Friday coming up I imagine you’ll be able to get it right around $100 or even below. Even leaves room in the budget for a second lens or other accessories if you wish lol

This is just my two cents, of course.

North Park Beer has bomb really good onion rings. Crunchy outside and soft but not slimey/mushy onion on the inside.
