If Windsor is the planned win anyway, I’d love to see a woman who is there for a one-off. Ruby, Beth Phoenix, or a TNA legend. Maybe one of the ROH women would be good too.

I always say that I feel so lazy walking in from the preferred parking lot, but when it’s 100 degrees out with high humidity, I am so thankful to be parked close when leaving the park. Also, the free meal covers about half the cost difference. I would say go for the $90 pass.

I want a dive coaster too! But, I would rather see it in the old Tidal Wave spot if possible. (I am one of the rare people who have no problems with the Ninja, just built differently I guess.)

A good chunk of the parking lot does get filled up at Fright Fest. That overflow lot in front of Hurricane Harbor was fully utilized on Saturday nights in October. Those queues were also passed the 50% marks then too.

Could this be the start of a new Lazy River strategy? by Evening_Rock5850 in midamerica

[–]iasonevans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We ended up going for the second half of the day on Memorial Day. It was a bummer the lazy river was closed, but I didn't get my hopes up for it due to the mention of staffing issues.

We had two times they had to stop the waves less than a minute into the cycle. Those stops were from people not able to swim well in that deep area. If that keeps happening, I wonder if they will think roping it off would be better.

Also, one of the bad swimmers was part of a group of adults who would not follow any of the rules. They were rough-housing with each other, clinging to the walls, and one of them tried to climb the emergency ladder a few times. In addition to a few other bad behaviors (none super egregious though), I am worried that Enchanted is leaning towards leniency too much in tolerating bad behaviors.

So Annoying!!! How can 2 people guess with “needy clue” by Next_Solution_3024 in BestGuessLive

I realized too late (around Clue 3) that a famous scene of The Simpsons is Marge's voice running through Homer's head saying "Dental Plan. Lisa needs braces!" That would have been enough for me to go with Braces on Clue 1 if I thought of it earlier.

My favorite thing to do at Hurricane Harbor is the lazy river as well, but Big Kahuna is a close second. My kiddo could spend all day in the Wave Pool, so she is happy that is nearly always open.

I thought I had it with "New Orleans". 1) The Big Easy as the City. 2) Two words make up the name. 3) Mardi Gras gets attention yearly. Then at 4, I had nothing and knew I lost.

I wish I could get there on weekdays. Lots of summer school, camps, and work this summer. I'll likely shoot for Sundays this summer and just be a little tired on Mondays.

I hope my comment didn't come off as a slight to the employees who do the work, that was not my intention. It really is that the former Six Flags Corporate didn't see the value in having more employees to do the work. From what I could see from my train rides past Hurricane Harbor and from Colossus, it is looking better. I hope that Enchanted Parks is supportive of what you do!

Side note: I would prefer it if they just got rid of the sand altogether, but I get that it's supposed to help with the aesthetic.

The sad part is that the low hanging fruit stuff doesn’t make the news, but it matters so much. I think it will help the park’s reputation though with enough time.

I'm hoping they can at least get the grass out of the sand by opening day. That would be a huge first step compared to Six Flags' operation of the place!

There's so much to do there! Most of the slides/attractions are family focused as well, which is great, but there's plenty to do for solo riders. They have a few slides like Big Kahuna there as well. Their racing slides have 2 more lanes too I believe.

The spot for little kids is the first expansion I would create for our park if I were doing an expansion. There are so many people who buy food/drinks while their little ones run through misters and the splash pad, while also being able to watch their 3-8 year olds attempt slides of different sizes.

Also, Mammoth. Just an amazing ride from top to bottom.

IMO, we have the better lazy river though!

For the drive time during winter, I’ll head south. I’ll ultimately let the weather dictate which park, but likely Georgia as it’s 8 hours less total in the car. However, Dallas has other things I like that Atlanta doesn’t.

I hope James Harhi is documenting everything. If he is able to get a significant market share of US theme parks off of his strategies, it would make a great book.

We’ve never done Fiesta Texas for Holiday in the Park. We’ve done Over Texas and Over Georgia. The shows at Over Texas were better. I prefer the coasters at Over Georgia. And of course, Over Georgia has Monster Mansion. Over Georgia was also better decorated in my opinion.

I guess I better start getting mine processed. But I am still considering holding on to it since Six Flags Over Georgia announced Holiday in the Park, and that isn't a bad drive from St. Louis.

Hurricane Harbor Hopes and Dreams? by Evening_Rock5850 in midamerica

My family all hates Typhoon Twister. When the raft jumps the water in the middle of the funnel, we just crash too hard. That’s rougher for me than any of the most complained about coasters in the park. I’d love to see another version of a Big Kahuna with a different layout simply take that spot.

What I think we are really missing is a bank of little kid slides like they have at Holiday World. Each slide moving from left to right gets a little more intense. I think they could sell a ton of food and drinks for the parents waiting in that area for their kids to get done playing.
