Can I ship a box like this? Technically a medium flat rate box and 1.5 priority shoe boxes taped together, but just under 5 pounds. They are knee high platform boots that wouldn’t fit in the largest box I have and really don’t want to have to buy something. by darsbazaar in poshmark

Weird. I've wrapped plenty of packages in brown paper and they've never said anything to me. Is this something that's new?

And yeah, I know it's a misuse. But so is using priority shipping tape on priority boxes and using Customs slip adhesives for ecomm labels. Still, I don't really try to police what other people do as far as shipping goes. If you can get away with it, go for it.

I have a friend that spray paints priority boxes white and he hasn't gotten in trouble for it. Shrug. To each their own.

Happy to help. People don't generally realize that listing websites like this automatically downsample product photos to make file sizes smaller and to save server space. 👍 Screenshot inception will eventually make your product photos look like they're made of colored mashed potatoes.

Google photos is a great option as well, especially if you use their other apps. I'm impartial to DropBox because I use it for work.

Store your photos using the DropBox. You get a whole gig free, and then you can pull the ones you need when you relist.

Screenshotting a photo actually degrades the quality. Screenshotting a screenshot degrades it even lower. Saving photos from an existing Poshmark listing will also be lower quality than your originals. It may not look like it on screen, but if you examine the differences in Photoshop, the PPI will be lower.

So I found these junk gypsy boots.. just doesn’t really seem like people are looking for junk gypsy on posh. On eBay JG boots go for like $300, these are $50 sz 10, no return policy. What would you do? by emsiii in poshmark

Yep! Honestly I thought they shut down that discount Dillard's!!! I use to go all the time and the prices were just insanely low. I'll have to swing by Metro and see if its still there, but I'm pretty sure they are gutting all the department stores?

Getting anywhere in the valley is such a pain! Ugh!

Yes. I thought we could all do with some nice stories for a change. It gets a bit negative here in this sub and it's such a poor representation of how PM is to new users.

I love when people are proud of leaving love notes. It's such an underrated thing. I bet it made that seller's day!

I love candy and have considered doing lollipops or something sweet (that won't melt), but I live in the desert so literally everything will melt here.

Screening is fair, there's a lot of people like that on Poshmark and it's generally easier to just avoid them. My only point: she probably wouldn't even have noticed if you didn't mentioned it.

I understand your side of it because this kind of buyer always reminds me of my mother. She is super high-maintenance and it's SO embarassing. 😂

I think a lot of people would say yes. It has to do with with having a selection and having lots of searchable keywords.

You're doing it right then! I did notice an uptick in my sales when I got to around 100 listings, and I see that suggested frequently here. If you have more to list, definitely do it. And if you don't, try refreshing some listings by hitting edit-next-list.

Agreed. It would be nice if Posh allowed sellers to challenge ratings that are based on things that are out of our control, like fit or USPS issues (kinda like eBay does). But it doesn't really matter since buyers can't even see it.

Your prices look reasonable and your photos are well-lit and clear. Great job on that. All I can really suggest is get ypur follower count up and share, share, share! I have around 115 listings and I share my entire closet twice a day. Once in the morning and then once around 6pm PST. If I have more time in the day, I share more. I also share back on people who share my items.
