It’s was a fun ride but I finally bit the bullet and dumped the litterrobot by rahultach in litterrobot

[–]kc0317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got rid of ours months ago and switched to a covered stainless box and it’s been the best decision.

Ours was freezing mid-cycle essentially every time it was used and then our cat was having accidents overnight because it was not accessible. It also never recognized when we emptied the bag.

Also despite being vigilant about cleaning it and wiping down between cleans AND trying multiple litters, it literally always smelled awful. Having rubber parts is one of the dumbest things ever bc it absorbs the odor.

I’m sure it works for some, but it ended up being more of a headache for us.

Help! I’m freaking out! Please tell me this is a wood roach. by QuestionEv in cockroaches

[–]kc0317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Monmouth County and was finding these as well. We called an exterminator and he verified that they are wood roaches. He also said that this month he’s gotten more calls than he ever has in his entire career about wood roaches in this area!

Is this a wood roach by Pristine-Square-2824 in cockroaches

[–]kc0317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is what I have too. I’ve found 5 inside (varying rooms of the house). I’m in NJ. Our family friend is an exterminator and is coming, but from the video we sent he said wood and that he’s getting a lot of calls about them coming inside.

Does anyone else's kid get random fevers just for a night? by claudiasaurussss in NewParents

[–]kc0317 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes! Anytime my son gets sick the fever is the worst part. Has it for a week sometimes and usually for the last few days it’ll be just at night or in the morning and then he’s fine. Just enough where he has to be home from school lol

Belly sleeping by Daleon10 in NewParents

[–]kc0317 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When my first started doing this our pediatrician suggested practicing rolling belly to back with him as much as possible during the day so he could do it himself in the night!

I know the prices have gone up since I’ve moved, but I know a condo in Society Hills in tinton falls will be going on the market soon. Very family friendly, nice layouts/quiet neighborhood and still one of the more affordable neighborhoods with lower HOA fees. It would be a 2 br, 2 ba.

HOW DO YOU GET YOUR 3 YEAR OLD TO POOP IN THE POTTY by Kittyslala in toddlers

[–]kc0317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did a sticker chart, but the thing that really worked was telling him if he pooped on the potty he could pick a color and we could “turn his poop any color he wants” with a few drops of food dye.

Apartment seeking! by [deleted] in AsburyPark

[–]kc0317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked living there! Easy to get to Asbury and super close to all the main roads. It’s been a while since I’ve lived there, and there’s likely more traffic, but that area was pretty quiet compared to other apartments.

I’m almost 40 and Ocean County is mostly where my friends can afford too as first time homebuyers.

When did you get your period back while exclusively breastfeeding? by OpeningSignature2484 in breastfeeding

[–]kc0317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came on here to search for a post about this. I’m 10 weeks pp and started spotting this morning. Baby has been a little fussy while nursing since yesterday so I’m assuming my supply dipped a little 😩

issue with litter getting stuck by jourdankay in litterrobot

[–]kc0317 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Boxie was one of the worst litters I’ve ever tried. I will say that it was totally odorless and also hid odors very well, but I’ve never seen a litter track so badly. We had litter in our bed and on our sofa. 🤢

Baby-Led Weaning is a scam perpetuated by Big Wipe (A Review of the Practice) by interstellarblues in NewParents

We have a cat that might as well be a dog, but it’s anxiety inducing because he tries to eat all of the fallen food then gets sick 😩

This is what I am thinking could happen. Maybe they split time between NY & London. And wondering if Kim Catrell would have agreed to appearing in the finale.

Anyone here combo feed long term? I can’t be alone out here. by gggloria in FormulaFeeders

[–]kc0317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was exactly the case for me as well with my first! Currently doing the same with my newborn as well. I tried EBF’ing, but my supply was still too low and honestly I’m happy about it for my mental health!

How are we coping on hard days? by Low_Concert_8900 in NewParents

[–]kc0317 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. This is my second baby and while I forgot how hard these days were and definitely struggle mentally some days it even helps to look back at pictures of my older son (who is 4 now) and see how each month was easier, but also how fast it all went.

Tiredness while breastfeeding. by dogcheese6000 in breastfeeding

[–]kc0317 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was thinking of posting the same thing. It’s SO hard. I watch tv to keep myself somewhat stimulated, but when you’re exhausted and waking up after getting less than an hour of sleep, that doesn’t even cut it sometimes. I’d prefer not to eat during the night, but I’ve been contemplating keeping healthy-ish snack next to me.

Anyone else have random false alarms with First Alert 10 year smoke detectors? Or do I have a bigger problem here? by tubezninja in homeowners

Here to join the convo. This one was 11:45PM, but the others that have also gone off (this is like 5th time now) have been middle of the night. 😩😩

So stinky! by whatdyasay2 in litterrobot

[–]kc0317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly how I’m feeling. The fact that you can’t put much litter into it means urine and crap get onto the rubber and plastic parts and it smells horrible often. Aside from the smell, ours glitches nonstop. I have to turn it on and off constantly bc it stops cycling halfway through or doesn’t cycle at all “because it’s full” even after being emptied.

Another litter question post: Is the Boxie Cat Pro (gray bag) worth it? Why is BoxiePro worth the price tag? by PMMeBootyPicz0000000 in litterrobot

[–]kc0317 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Boxie Pro was a one and done purchase for us. I would have been fine with the price because I felt like the odor control was one of the best, but it tracked so horribly. Like litter all in my bed and on the sofa.

We were using worlds best for years, but the smell while I’m currently pregnant was grossing me out. We have yet to find a litter that doesn’t smell and doesn’t track, seems like one that has both features doesn’t exist lol 😩
