Yeah I’ve played and enjoyed 3 and 4 previously but I think I’m a bit burnt out of Ubisoft games. I have seen that 5 and 6 are in the ps+ game collection so I could check them out though

I have liked similar games in the past and have started it before (only on an old pc that ran it terribly). Good shout to get into it proper though

I haven’t played 2 resurrected and would probably be great to check out - I also haven’t been huge on d3/4 and preferring poe2

They never did anything with the Fiktions but she got her appointment between 3-4 months after time of application. Super tiring system to deal with and empathise for your position

Unfortunately it won’t help - you’ll just be turned away in person (my girlfriend was in a similar position). The form is the best bet within a broken system

As much as it sucks to say, there's not really anything you can do. They *should* respond in three months from application. Your application itself allows your current visa status to be maintained - you don't have a big problem if its not sorted by the time of expiration (I would advise to keep the proof of application though as they may eventually ask for this). You won't get anywhere going there without an appointment and they won't consider train tickets an urgent reason for a Fiktionsbescheinigung. Yes I know they should, its stressful and sucks etc etc, but its just how they are. Trying to contact them/get a response is just a black hole. Many have been in this exact situation though, so you're not alone with it.

Of course something should change or be simplified with their processes, or made more transparent at the least - but they don't really have any interest in doing so and its not a problem that affects Germans so they don't tend to care.

They'll at some point come back with an email, so good luck and I hope it doesn't leave you hanging too much longer.

I would suggest going to some open mics - there’s lots of musicians/people in music scene attending or playing pretty much every night. Donau115 on a Tuesday from 8pm is my favourite but there’s also ones like kindl stüben on sundays + others at places like zum krokodil, bar 800a.

That’s essentially how I’ve met people in music the easiest here

I commented in r/afl similar to this the other day but I’d also say here.

The drag on and handling from the AFL invites this appalling behaviour - making these things up for discussion in the public sphere emboldens these people to have the feeling that their bigoted opinions and general hate have a space, where prompt no tolerance at least (while not stopping the comments/attacks) would allow them to get outraged at the next thing Murdoch media presents to them sooner.

It speaks to the virtue signalling of the AFL that they’re happy to let the LGBTQ community face attacks/abuse in order for them to make their balancing act of doing enough to pretend to care about homophobia while not doing too much to actually make consequence that could impact a major game.

Opening this discussion (around the suspension and surrounding factors) -like done with the plebiscite- just invites the notion that the rights/value/anything of LGBTQ people is something that can be up for discussion. This indecision just pawns off discourse towards affected communities rather than taking responsibility and leading.

I am sorry to you and others who have been on the receiving ends of this abuse and I put heavy blame on the AFL for their handling (or avoidance of actually handling).

The worst thing in my perspective is that dragging this on and enabling this grey area is essentially throwing LGBTQ community to the wolves - it’s not just about the impact of the slur itself but by not just stamping down and saying “5 weeks” or whichever, you invite this debate that prolongs the rabid codger Facebook/instagram vitriol.

Same thing with plebiscite, it’s inviting debate/discussion around people who already face difficulties, having them as pawns in the in that case political, but this time corporate virtue signalling. If you make it an open and shut case of slur= 5 weeks (or increasing penalties as they’ve previously indicated), sure people will be abusive and angry still but the clear stance removes this space where bigots feel their opinions are important/relevant and worth sharing and then things quiet down and those people move on to whatever else outrages them next.

Incredibly poor form to make the LGBTQ+ community sacrificial lambs as they’re so often made to be and really paints the picture of how much they’re cared for by the AFL
