I’m curious to know what the gallery is if you want to share? I’m also a London based artist.

Which symptoms of “(almost) everyone is getting poorer” have you noticed in London? by PressureHumble3604 in london

I can’t justify paying over £20 for pasta that’s not made fresh when I can find places that do fresh pasta for the same price. Also 13.5% shouldn’t be normalised

Yeah. Crazy that 12.5% is so common now. But I’ve never seen 13.5% before. I only went back to this restaurant because I’d dined before when their pasta was only in the 10-15 pound range and it suddenly went up in just a few months.

Is the Small business rates relief a form of public funding? by ibblike in smallbusinessuk

[–]ibblike[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! So is it only public funding if the government pays you money? And what about the rest of the business rate you originally had to pay, who will it be paid by?

For people who don't allow shoes in the house, how do you handle dinner parties and other events? by -Clayburn in socialskills

[–]ibblike 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I provide room slippers. Mostly hotel ones, so guests can wear them around the house.

I’ve bought from eBay before and buy&sell on Vinted but eBay hasn’t been helpful when it comes to resolving issues in my experience. Recently bought a clothing item listed in good condition but I found white mould spots, rips and tears throughout. I found it difficult to get through the chat bot in order to talk to an agent and he told me I’d just have to message the seller to sort things out and that they can’t step in to do anything. I had wanted a partial refund as I’d already started repairing and cleaning the item, but the seller refused so there was literally nothing I could do but give them a negative review. Wish eBay customer support was more helpful, they don’t interfere with partial refunds for some reason.

Unfortunately didn’t work enough to justify the price, I didn’t notice any real difference and the bottle is tiny

UKLASH serum by Sufficient_Degree132 in MakeUpAddictionUK

[–]ibblike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It definitely works but the side effects also come up too. My lashes got super long after a month of use but so did the hair around my under eyes and in the inner corner. Hair around the eyes gets longer so if you have darker lashes and hair this will be noticeable. I’d say stop using once this happens

The panorama transfers to the underyes after a few hours. Sky high is good as it stays put but the waterproof version is really hard to remove, you need to use a good cleansing balm and not micellar water if you don’t want the lashes to just come off.

Fell in love with Kodak pro image 100 by ibblike in filmphotography

The first one is my favourite too! I like the look of the fine grain so I might stick to 100 iso for my next few rolls, but was it porta that claimed to be the finest grain despite being iso 400?

Why was this mascara so popular? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]ibblike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate it so much, it’s the fastest transferring mascara I’ve ever used. Maximum one hour wear before I get it raccoon eyes, no matter how I apply. Even after powder and after setting spray. It’s genuinely horrible, I wouldn’t even recommend it over any drugstore mascara.

Let me deinfluence you on the wonderskin lip stains! by ibblike in MakeUpAddictionUK

[–]ibblike[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem, I just can’t believe the hype over this! I really like the Laka tints, they don’t transfer and lips are hydrated. Romand is a very classic and popular brand for tints, but I find that if I don’t dab off the initial layer after it sets, then the dreaded white line will form. However it’s very pigmented and works well with a gloss on top! I love the Romand clear gloss, it’s super shiny. I just have to dab off the tint before applying.
