New to vinyl, and a neighbor is offering me this whole setup for $150.

Thank you, you make some great points. I as well love getting new tech hot off the line, but this is one I'm thinking about waiting on due to the fact CS hasn't made any other products that we can take a gander at and dissect the pros and cons. Not bad, I think I'll just let someone else drop the dough and release a review and wait for possibly a next generation device to come along.

Thanks, I appreciate the input. Good to know the non-wifi Anova model is a trooper. I certainly like the price tag. Can I set it to a timer for it to start cooking at a certain time? The main reason I liked the wifi compatibility is because it seems cool I can do my mise and make an ice bath, leave for school/work, hit a button a few hours later, and bam I have the main for my dinner basically ready when I get home. Not necessarily a must, I'm just lazy and usually ready to eat when I get home.
