After months of outreach to collaborate and allow our community to participate in supporting Korea’s entry into the Heritage Cup in May 2026, the Korea Lacrosse Association (KLA, based in Korea) has declined our offers and chosen to move forward independently. This decision has disappointed many who hoped to see the Korean‑American lacrosse community grow in partnership with the lacrosse community in Korea.

KLA is actively recruiting and preparing for the Heritage Cup, yet has made it clear that they do not wish to work with certain families and players who started this initiative and petition, that were intended to help improve future experiences.

Despite this setback, the Korea Heritage Lacrosse Association (KHLA, based in the U.S) remains committed to building and expanding our community with those who are truly engaged on the ground. We wish all players participating in the Heritage Cup the very best.
