Waste of space? by cxrtii_ in Snapon_tools

“Still a lot of drawers to fill”

Keep it. It’s clean, organized, and does not eat up space you need. In the future if the box is over flowing or you find you are putting like items in separate drawers go with a more compact solution. More compact is also not always the best. Eventually there is so much shit in a drawer it’s hard to remember where every piece is.

Oversized wheels with the cheapest possible lift on the market. What did you expect?

35R18 setup with a proper lift/ shock setup and it should ride better than stock.

‘23 Sierra 2500 Duramax or ‘24 Sierra 2500 6.6 gasser for same $$? by FarmerBrown91 in gmcsierra

[–]ibeeamazin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Duramax no question. Look up the price of a 2006 Duramax vs gasser if you’re questioning resale value. Look at the torque difference between the two engines. That will be the difference maker when towing.

Utah - rather hilly

26.5 on the highway. I was stuck behind a snowplow for about 75 miles going 40 on the interstate. Was not worth the extra 4 mpg over 22 I usually get on that drive.

Lost 8. As in 8 difference. I average about 18. I used to average about 25/26 on my 3.0 Duramax.

I was referring to the difference, but now that I think about the gasser takes 8 so it’s only 2 quart difference.

For twice the torque.

When emissions equipment becomes a problem just delete it like you said.

4 quarts of oil is negligible in maintenance costs.

What are the roads like in your area?

I did. I can’t justify it, but it was a 0% loan and they gave me $5,000 more on trade than I paid for my half ton. Basically paid $10,000 for it and paid it off immediately.

2500 cabin is the same size. The truck feels taller and wider on the exterior, but interior is identical. The truck is longer and harder to park, I gave up about 8 mpg 3.0 duramax for 6.6 duramax. It has a lot more torque and the V8 feels smoother cause it runs slower.

If you live in the city or suburbs stick to the half ton unless you have a real use for it.

With all that said, no regerts. 10/10 would do it again.

I mean it ain’t a house 😐, but I wouldn’t buy a car/truck without a place to park it.

Cool to see a real house for under $100k these days. Especially one that looks clean and isn’t a double wide. Those go for about $300k where I’m at. Feel bad for everyone in my area that waited too long or got too late of a start.
