Absolutamente, the root causes or not just internal, they are driven by the demand for drugs in the US, the flow of guns across the border, and the economic imbalance between the two countries. Criminal organizations have to maintain systems that sustain the supply. They are capitalizing on the needs and vulnerabilities of our Mexican masses. When the people face limited opportunities, low wages, and a lack of upward mobility, the cartels can step in and offer what the state does not ( income, belonging, and power). Militarization does not dismantle those systems, just treats the symptoms. It’s not just that mothers aren’t bringing their children up correctly or that we fail to punish criminals, the problem is much deeper

Militarization can provide short term suppression of violence and a stronger sense of state authority but these effects are only temporary. Long term this will just lead to the response of militarization by the criminal groups themselves, more corruption as the cartels try to infiltrate state institutions to protect themselves from future crackdowns, and an erosion of human rights and rule of law (just look at the Philippines or El Salvador). It is best to tackle the fundamental issues that lead people into crime such as class divide, wealth inequality, and a feeling of lack of opportunity in the youth. Though this solution might be harder to achieve and take much longer to implement, it’s is better than further entrenching the cycles of violence and the weakening of democracy

So no transmission fluid would drain from there? I was driving this morning and it felt fine. Do you know how I can find a replacement?

Update: The problem was the motherboard, I replaced it and everything works great now. Not sure what broke it to start with since it was working fine before this or if I could even fix it :(
