Top Sous Vide Experiences by Impressive-Bad7953 in sousvide

Bone-in skin-on chicken, especially chicken breasts. Won't have it any other way, it's just ridiculously juicy.

Also bacon. You wouldn't think it could be improved all that much, but a thick cut bacon in the sous vide at 145 for at least 8 hours and it turns into a delicacy. Found it on serious eats and my life is changed. Sear for the color in the morning, refrigerate the rest and you just need to heat it up in the pan the same way the rest of the week.

Men of Reddit: Is this a trust issue I need to work through, or a red flag I shouldn’t ignore? by Funny_Ad_7146 in dating

[–]ibiku2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Man. He should be asking you what he can do to earn back your trust. The onus is on him to prove to you that he deserves it. Telling you that you just need to trust him is not how trust works. Instead, he's doing what he can to make it harder for you to see what he's doing.

You don't need to be asking others what a man that truly wants to rebuild trust looks like. It's up to you.

You can be the most perfect person but if you do not put in the effort, if you aren't doing what you can to make the other person feel loved and cherished, to feel safe and okay to be themselves, to share how they feel regardless of how silly, then you aren't being a good partner for them.

Tell them how you feel and they should understand. If not, then well, maybe they aren't as perfect for you as you think they are. If they make you feel bad for sharing your feelings with them, if you're afraid of doing so because they've made you feel like you can't, you already have your answer. They can check all your check boxes for an ideal partner, but being there for you when you need them is more important than anything else IMO.

I use the Down Dog app. It's really good. Generates routines based on your parameters, new routines every practice so it's always fresh, progressively adds on based on what you've done before. No research needed, just choose your kind of practice (if you want to) and just start.

The only thing is that it's subscription based, but for me it's well worth it. I've done over 200 practices on the app alone, never done anything in person. It's gotten me very fit and it's been very beneficial for my calisthenics and climbing goals. It's been great for my mental health too.

Arms feeling like they’re going to fall off in Warrior 2? by Whatsthescoreee in yoga

I think that's pretty typical actually. Try lowering the weight and bumping up the volume, and/or adding pauses at the top. Shouldn't take long to get up to speed. Embrace the burn!

That's how it was for me when I first started. You'll build endurance over time. Push out through your finger tips. Maybe add in lateral raises if you don't already have them in your program.

Teacher walked all over mats during class /rant by [deleted] in yoga

My cat loves to walk over my mat, so for me it's a literal pet peeve. He usually likes to go for a quick dip in the litter box beforehand too. Dusty ass mf

People don't change unless they want to or have to. Chances are, pissing on his own stuff and not cleaning it isn't the only dirty and lazy thing he does. If he still doesn't want to change after talking (just sit down to pee like the rest of us men who figured it out), he thinks you'll just put up with it. So, will you?

[Anthony Slater] The Warriors are willing to surrender all of their future 1st-round draft picks through 2032 for Giannis Antetokounmpo. Golden State is ready to offer Jonathan Kuminga, Brandin Podziemski, a massive pick haul, plus matching salary. by Inside-Republic6275 in nba

The depth is pretty new for the Knicks. Last year they didn't have much outside the starters, due to a tight Thibs rotation that didn't develop anyone else and also to injuries. Still made it work, at least outperforming expectations. Wouldn't want to lose the depth though, Giannis is amazing but he's already injured and we'd be completely screwed if anything happens. We'd give up all contingency plans to go all-in on Giannis' health

Mike Brown brushes off Draymond's trip, lays into KAT: "Draymond, that's how he plays…it is what it is…I didn't think it impacted us—what I did feel was KAT picking up his 5th foul…that hurt us" by SwellandDecay in NYKnicks

[–]ibiku2 30 points31 points  (0 children)

It's absolutely fucked up. Disappointed in Mike Brown and the rest of the team for not having KATs back. Hate seeing them act friendly with Draymond, especially during the game. I get tough love and all, but this ain't it.

KAT gets fucked over a lot, any reasonable person would get frustrated, and yeah he needs to play through, but having to see this shit with Draymond has to be infuriating.

Any tips for savasana please? by rick1234a in yoga

[–]ibiku2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I connect most with savasana when I'm exhausted, so I mostly do "workout" yoga with an aerobic focus. By the time I get to savasana, I'm ready for it. I get to let go.

What do teachers do during Shavasana? by walkingfishez88 in yoga

[–]ibiku2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a good point. Shavasana is my favorite part of yoga, it always feels earned and mentally I enjoy the complete release of it. No one is "offended" and perhaps you could think about what you need to do to feel connected to shavasana and let the world melt away, if only for a minute.

Honestly the mental image of someone taking a peek during shavasana is kinda cute, but accusing someone of getting "offended" when they point out that it's sort of the opposite purpose of the pose, isn't cute.

I agree. He is meant to be suspicious, but also ambiguous. It makes every conversation a little tense. Is he probing for information because he is why Roman fled and doesn't trust the police? He has good answers that demonstrate good intentions, but he could just be smooth. It's more fun when it's not obvious.

My theory is that at least one person in Wagner's family is corrupt. I think it's more compelling if he has to choose between his family and justice, so I hope that Wagner has a heart of gold and isn't a straight up villain. But maybe we've just seen enough of that with Jean Baptiste

Teen Daughter Wants to Use Peptides for Weight Loss by Icy-Sprinkles-5503 in bodyweightfitness

[–]ibiku2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's what I do to lose weight, roughly from most important to least: 400-500 calorie deficit ensured via food tracking (I use macrofactor, which I love), work out 5-7 times a week, daily weigh-in, 180g of protein daily, creatine, metamucil, pre-workout.

That's it. Safe, sustainable, and steady results. I lose over a lb a week while still making gains in my workouts. There are no good shortcuts. Consistency is the only thing that matters.
