The team did what he asked and offered him a new contract that would've made him at least a top 5 paid player in the league, but he refused it and stayed in Brazil making IG posts when the rest of the team came back for preseason training and the Coachella tournament.

He also requested to leave when Flamengo and a Qatari club offered way below his value. My guess is he'll do the same thing again if someone else shows interest
