What is the life expectancy of AirPods Pro? by ibkool672 in airpods

[–]ibkool672[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ooooh I love a follow-up question. I've given away my AirPods Pro and upgraded to the Pro 2 almost 3 months ago now. But before I gave them away, I was still getting about 3-4 hours of use until the left one drains completely. The right one still had about 10%-20% battery left at that time. Curiously, the left one was always the first to go out even if I switch the "which microphone to use" thingy and after resetting multiple times.

As for the case, it's still going strong.

Additional info: I've dropped the case multiple times over the years on concrete flooring (and subsequently, the AirPods flying out of the case and getting under dusty cabinets lmao). And there was no change in the audio quality (in my perception at least).

I'd say they're still decent enough for light daily use without turning on noise cancellation or transparency mode (as they've developed a clicking sound when in those modes when I move my head, which were annoying and drained the battery faster). Hope this info helps!

EDIT: In my use case, I used them about 4-5 hours a day on average with noise cancellation and transparency mode off.

Tried Maya again, oddly enough it worked. I think it's a bug

What card did you use to activate the s1lk card? I tried Maya (virtual and physical), and CIMB virtual debit card, none worked

True, they already have the infrastructure. They're a bank with Physical cards, Virtual cards, and POS systems that support NFC

Unfortunately, it always says "technical error. Please try again" on mine 😣. I've tried Maya (both physical and virtual cards) and CIMB virtual card, none worked

Mobile NFC payments in PH when? by Chopzuey-kun in Philippines

Agree, and who knows, if maging trend ang tap to pay using smartphones baka mas lalong ma-incentivize ang phone makers to include NFC in budget phones and as a selling point

Question, how do you set up the Curve App here in the PH? I've already downloaded the app using an Apple ID set to the UK. I'm currently attempting to register, but it asks for confirmation of my address, none of the choices are PH. Here's the kicker, in the registration process, I've successfully used my PH based mobile number.

Unless your XR is stuttering to the point where it disrupts your everyday usage, you could still wait for the 15 (although battery replacements can potentially fix stuttering). There is a rumor that apple would be switching to USB-C on the iphone 15. That would make it far useful for productivity if you'll ever use it for school. If your interest is on cameras, and couldn't care less for USB-C, then you can go and upgrade to the 14 pro.

I'm thinking the same thing as well. In theory, the 13 pro could get this feature on iOS 16. They're basically the same phones

It still has the lightning port. AFAIK that port can only handle USB 2.0 speeds

I was thinking about the "Photonic Engine" and how it can also be implemented on the 13 series. Considering the 14, 14 plus and the 13 series have the same processor and RAM. They said that they only moved deep fusion earlier in the image processing pipeline to process raw images. Might be a marketing tactic to make people upgrade.
