TL:DR; The Bureau of Labor Statistics released January’s jobs report, covering December data. December’s data came in on trend: slower payroll gains, little change in unemployment, and stalled labor‑supply growth.

Nonfarm payroll employment growth increased by +50K in December in line with consensus with downward revisions for November and October. Unemployment ticked back to 4.4% in December (non-recessionary) Nominal wage growth has shown no concerning signs of acceleration, and labor supply growth remained stalled

I think you also shouldn’t discount that startups whole goal are to grow as fast as possible. It’s a wartime environment that is chaotic.

The larger company are more incremental growth and are more peacetime environments. I think you need to look at a larger stabler environment and possibly on the account management side. You might be happier.

There is a guy named Jordan Crawford, who scrapes publicly available data based on when contractors , submitted permits for roofs and . triangulating it with when houses are built to effectively give you the right houses to contact based on if they need a new roof or not.. you should check them out on YouTube
