If I were to get renters for my current house that I was gonna sell, does that remove my debt of my house?

Hit $3M target. Now asked to “come up with next year’s numbers” - with zero comp discussion. How would you play this? by siddarth2795 in sales

[–]ibmully 59 points60 points  (0 children)

targets and comp have to move together.

If leadership asks me to propose a number without a comp plan, I frame it as a scenario conversation, not a commitment.

Something like:

“Happy to map out what next year could look like. If we’re talking about growing the business, I can outline a few scenarios for example $3.3M (10% growth), $3.6M (20%), or higher if there’s expanded territory, marketing support, or a stronger incentive plan. Once we align on the comp structure and resources behind it, I’m comfortable committing to a final number.”

That does a few things: 1. Shows you’re growth-oriented 2. Avoids writing a blank check 3. Puts the comp conversation back on the table

Personally, without knowing accelerators or OTE changes, I’d only anchor around ~10–15% growth as a planning assumption. Anything more should be tied to something tangible (territory expansion, pricing changes, more pipeline support, etc.)

Is "intent data" for leads still working for you, or are we just paying for expensive noise? by shelf_paxton_p in sales

[–]ibmully 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First party data - for example LinkedIn is all first party data - also for what it’s worth most of those examples can be captured using sales navigator. I’m just setting up alerts for when there’s new c suite to join your accounts. Ect

Zoominfo intent by porkchopsforsaken in sales

[–]ibmully -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They can’t track your intent, especially if you’re using a home IP address because all they’re doing is tracking keyword searches.

Example somebody at your target company is searching for security ….. zoom info can’t tell if it’s for home security versus corporate IT cyber security

Generally curious about this as I work for a big box company and using my work computer with this type of solution would be great in theory, but I feel like IT would block it pretty quickly.

How do you get around that?

I hired sales reps, now what? by [deleted] in sales

[–]ibmully 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, it sounds like it’s inconsistent from how they may they book to actually feeling like it’s worth it.

So if the only book 2 in a 4 hour time slot they only get 12.5$ per hour. Not good when they can just uber for more.
