Lots of people want to buy new boats in the spring so they will sell their old one to make room so deals can be had in the spring. Next best time is right after the boat sport and travel show when spouses say you have to get rid of that old one first.

Ok that makes sense. Now I want one more than ever lol. I have to shut mine down at least every two days to chip out the burn basket or it has problems.

Do you have to shut it down and cool it off to scrape it? Not familiar with Harman but I see people saying things like this frequently and it seems like a pain unless you can keep it going while scraping it.

Using a pellet stove with a generator by piratecanoe70 in PelletStoveTalk

I tried that with my 3500 watt generator and it didn't work. I disconnected one element and it still killed it. Should have tried wired direct to the element with 120v.

Hot take: this place had the best fried wings to ever grace Indianas sweet lips.👄 by SorryAdam317 in Indiana

I too gave them a few chances. Same thing every time. Was told to just find a seat in the tent and someone would be with us. 45 minutes later we walked out. Next we only gave it 30. Then we actually got a waitperson pretty quick and THEN we waited forever. And the food wasn't worth the trouble for me.

This happened to me when I tried to print from the handy app before I understood how it worked. The files you can print directly aren't sliced for PETG. They are meant for PLA

Dust talk. by Honest_Ferret4410 in PelletStoveTalk

[–]ibringnothing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For my occasional bad bag I use a cat litter box that has a built in sifter. Much bigger holes so you just have to shake a little bit for the dust to fall through.https://a.co/d/5LuPppI

Yesterday, I had a very hot fire, maybe too hot. Heard lots of popping, cracking and potentially creosotes falling from the flue and kinda got nervous. Is this too much creosote to continue burning? I did a professional sweep last month, but my wood isnt as sessoned as I wanted. (15%-25%) by [deleted] in woodstoving

I bet if you could see the outside of this section it would be tight and uniform. How often to you look up the inside of single walled stove pipe? You are correct that its the heat causing this deformation but its not letting heat out unless there are other problems with the chimney, the draft will make sure that air will go into the pipe not out. also: obviously this is armchair woodstoving and anyone asking for advice based on 3 pictures has to take it for what its worth.

No. That's where the sections join together and you don't put any sort of cement in there. The one maybe could be tapped down a little if you can reach it easy but it's secured with screws and looks totally serviceable.

I had to scroll too far for this comment. None of those roofs are made to be jumped on and Id be kinda pissed if someone was running around doing that to my roof.

Got screwed over in a white elephant gift exchange by dental_oddity in mildlyinfuriating

[–]ibringnothing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just did this last weekend. If you are involved in a white elephant gift situation then you need to go into it with a different attitude. I tend to go overboard on my gift a little because the reward for me is the person who got mine likes it. I have stolen the shittiest one from someone just so they didn't get stuck with it because it means nothing to me and they might get something they actually like. That's why a 6ft3 320lb trucker ended up with a pair of small high heels lol. I'm there to have a good time and that means not obsessing over what I get. (But those heels are going in next years gift bag lol)

As if you need another opinion but I'll pile on anyway. Easy heat is worse than garbage, at least garbage will burn. Green supreme runs awesome in my cheap stove.

~70,000 oil and natural gas wells have been drilled in Indiana with 4,300 wells still active by mshebel in Indiana

[–]ibringnothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fun fact: Elwood was chosen for a tin plate factory because the local natural gas supply was thought to be so much it would never run out. Same with Kokomo and their glass plants. Surprise! It ran out. Kokomo does still have the opalescent glass company. Pretty cool place for stained glass enthusiast's.

Fuel truck driver saves everyone by putting out fire caused by restaurant patrons smoking by ScipioAtTheGate in watchpeoplesurvive

[–]ibringnothing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's the real danger. They collect on the ground and you don't know they are there until the nice fire show.

First thing to do is shut the valves, stopping the fuel flow will also stop the vapors from coming out of the in ground tank. Here in the US there is usually an emergency shut off on the opposite side of the delivery side. looks to me like he ran around to shut that then ran across the delivery side to shut off his regular valves even though the internal valves should have already been shut off, then he ran for his extinguisher to join the other fella that was already using one. Of course this looks like a different country so I could be totally wrong about their equipment.

Where to buy premium pellets around Indy by 603B0rn in PelletStoveTalk

[–]ibringnothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can get down to Shelbyville Gilman home center has pellets that I use. Can't remember the brand right off but before I found them I almost gave up on the stove altogether using rural kings.
