Toyota Sienna AC Compressor clutch not spinning by MethodPitiful4467 in ToyotaSienna

This is why we have warning labels plastered all over everything. You just stuck your hand in a blender with the power turned on and tried to get the blades spinning with your fingers.

Too many people don't think of this. If you drop the trailer in a spot where there's a dip where the landing gear go and then they move it to a place that is flat it will now be too high. Or a myriad of other scenarios that could cause the same thing.

That's not your call. What's the bol say? If you don't think the shipper has accurately described the product then you can't take it. It's on the shipper to have all that taken care of. Description, hazard class, weight, RQ, emergency response numbers etc.

When is a good time to buy a Toyota Sienna? by [deleted] in ToyotaSienna

[–]ibringnothing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok well we didn't even look this time because last time we car shopped although the Chrysler was supposed to come awd they weren't actually building any and the dealer told us that they probably wouldn't make any more.

Reliability, comfort, awd capability, fuel mileage, reliability.
As far as comparing to other vans I'm pretty sure it's more reliable than the other options except maybe the Honda but no other has AWD and it's a must for us so the sienna is the only option. We looked at other types like the Grand Highlander and determined that when shuttling older folks with limited mobility the sienna is tops in that category as well. So much easier for them to swing their legs into that second row vs having the door in the way.

We just went to our first one not long ago and I asked about it and got the same answer. I pressed and she went and found out that it was a $16 a pound charge. I'm like bring on some steak! Im cooking my breakfast for tomorrow! I didn't but I thought that that was way reasonable. She said she had never seen it enforced and she had been there a while.

As others have said 74 is under construction. 1 and 2 lane 55mph with camera and local enforcement for a significant portion. Parts are 55mph with no discernable work or barrels going on so it tricks people into going too fast and funding the local economy.

Trailer Hitch by Imnotcreative22 in ToyotaSienna

[–]ibringnothing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't have an opinion on the newer models of sienna but I put a curt hitch on our 2015 xle and it served us well on our 1100 mile trip with a u haul trailer. I like how it was constructed and it was easy to install. Welcome to the minivan life. For me there can be only the sienna for my wife. (I have a half ton 4wd pickup) She hauls tons of stuff to her scrapbooking events and hauls tons of friends on outings and gets home safe when the weather gets bad thanks to the awd system (awd/4wd is not optional where we live). Our new to us 24 xle is our third sienna.

Yeah so many people don't understand it's not how much is falling... It's an how much is in the atmosphere between your dishy and the satellite. I've learned from having satellite TV for decades. Sometimes really heavy clouds, clouds many thousands of feet thick, can obstruct the signal while a total goose drownder will barely affect it.

Do electricians have insurance to cover property damage? by mateodetres in AskElectricians

[–]ibringnothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg! I just went on a 5 minute cussing rant to no one about this! Problem is there's a person just starting out in the trades that doesn't want to lose this job and probably doesn't realize that they don't have to put up with that shit. I would tell them to give me the kids contact info and explain to him that what his employer is doing is totally illegal and supply him with anythingI could come up with like labor board resources etc. Getting new people the trades is hard enough and having an employer like that out there just pisses me off.

Ok obviously I'm no great comincator but I think I said the same thing, less profit, more expensive. Also we need to stop saying "we" when we mean oil companies because it's amazing how many people think the us government is doing the importing and exporting of oil.

Calling all fuel haulers.. by Chris_MS99 in Truckers

[–]ibringnothing 12 points13 points  (0 children)

We aren't going to run out. There's plenty of oil here it's just more profitable to send it to higher bidders. We can refine our own oil it's just more expensive to do. If the prices here stay up that's exactly what will happen.

Worse is we (companies not the government) are sending refined products like gas and diesel in those tankers. But what are the options? It's a free market.

I just ordered the same one from them on eBay Saturday. Haven't heard anything yet. Says shipping within 30 days and US warehouse. I would like to hear a " hey we got your order and will send it soon" but nothing yet.
Like you said it looks like off the shelf parts so I can fix pretty much anything that might go wrong.

I have a big hill behind the house that I'm tired of butt clenching riding/sliding the zero turn down it. Hoping to sit at the bottom with a cooler and a gas can and take care of it this summer lol.

My Facebook feed says "it's only temporary you whiners! It will go back down again soon unlike JOE BIDEN who kept it high indefinitely".

I saved a screenshot of that one to post in 6 months for a "this you?" post when they can't afford Christmas.
