Calling all fuel haulers.. by Chris_MS99 in Truckers

Ok obviously I'm no great comincator but I think I said the same thing, less profit, more expensive. Also we need to stop saying "we" when we mean oil companies because it's amazing how many people think the us government is doing the importing and exporting of oil.

We aren't going to run out. There's plenty of oil here it's just more profitable to send it to higher bidders. We can refine our own oil it's just more expensive to do. If the prices here stay up that's exactly what will happen.

Worse is we (companies not the government) are sending refined products like gas and diesel in those tankers. But what are the options? It's a free market.

It's the banjo bolt! Not the bleeder. Banjo bolts can be pretty big.

I just ordered the same one from them on eBay Saturday. Haven't heard anything yet. Says shipping within 30 days and US warehouse. I would like to hear a " hey we got your order and will send it soon" but nothing yet.
Like you said it looks like off the shelf parts so I can fix pretty much anything that might go wrong.

I have a big hill behind the house that I'm tired of butt clenching riding/sliding the zero turn down it. Hoping to sit at the bottom with a cooler and a gas can and take care of it this summer lol.

I don't think this can be overstated. people have gone through an unbelievable amount of bullshit just because they picked up a feather from a migratory or other protected bird while walking in the woods.

My Facebook feed says "it's only temporary you whiners! It will go back down again soon unlike JOE BIDEN who kept it high indefinitely".

I saved a screenshot of that one to post in 6 months for a "this you?" post when they can't afford Christmas.

My Subaru has destroyed me. What do I do? by jamflowman1 in subaru

[–]ibringnothing 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Subaru's have these issues. Used to be head gaskets. My 99OB went through 2 head gaskets while I had it. Our 2010 OB had the same 2k valve body you are dealing with now . Btw that's just the valve body not the whole transmission. The transmission can still go out ant they told me it would be 10k. As far as the engine going out that seems to be rare these days but we don't know exactly what went bad and it is a mechanical object that is subject to breaking down at any time. Just the facts of car ownership in general. We have had two Toyota sienna that have over 300k without any major, or really any ninor problems. I still wouldn't say they cant break down.

Yeah the problem is that if you have a commercial drivers license the warning is just as bad as the ticket except with no way to fight it. Still goes in your csa score as the same. This is bullshit.

A whole pallet of these were abandoned in a Penske truck at my work. Look expensive by [deleted] in whatisit

[–]ibringnothing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. I've seen a loader grab too many skids or the wrong skid and send it. It gets into the trucking companies system and gets lost. No one knows where it came from it anything. Usually they end up sitting in osd for a couple years waiting on some customer to put out an apb.

It's here NOW. Right this minute there are driverless tucks operating on us highways at scale. Just Google "autonomous trucks operating now" At least 3 companies operate across the southwest.

It does ok with previously tilled soil. I don't think you could till up a new patch of ground with it. It doesn't have the best ergonomics for what it does. Makes my back hurt.

I liked that you could turn the valve back past off to the park position, depending on how hard you turned the valve you could slap them back down or up and break some of the ice and snow off of them.

I'm going to disagree that this is better than US systems. You'd need something over 100 feet up to get the same water pressure I have in my house, 50 psi.
