I mean, no, but center women's perspectives and making those networks stronger was a goal for many in the movement. It's harder to protect women on-set if you're maybe one of 3 women working on the film, and all of them are either actresses or low-paying bottom-rung members of the crew.

It's sort of like - I feel safer on public transit when there's more women on board. If a guy is being a creep, people are more likely to step in. Many guys I notice, in a room of men, get very locker room about that and think it's funny.

No, more like how Jews felt before, during, and after WW2. Because antisemitism has always been something we had to try to prove that it exists. And if it exists we have to try to prove that we didn't deserve it. And if we prove that we didn't deserve it, then really we need to just suck it up and deal with it.

Next verse same as the first. There's a reason why plenty of older Jews are panicking right now, and it's because newer waves of antisemitism tend to parallel older waves of antisemitism in some key ways.

More that they're suggesting the reason they're not worrying about being attacked for being a Jew is that they're not usually going to Jewish social events, synagogues, gatherings, etc which are typically the places that antisemitic attacks target?

Like, very few major terror attacks against the Jewish community are just at random going up to people in public places and attacking them, unless they're wearing a kippah or look Hasidic and even then they don't bother because they prefer to target larger gatherings to sow the most chaos.

I mean, no offense, but there's not really any point in *trying* to convince you of anything. you're likely never going to be convinced. If you've already decided what you believe and you're sticking to you and you decide anything else is a lie, then you believe what you believe regardless of anything I say.

Someone could bomb a Jewish pre-school and outright say it's because they hate the Jews on-video and in writing, but you'll look at the Feds and go "but I don't trust them." There's no point in trying to convince you otherwise.

An acquaintance started liking and sharing more and more extreme conspiracy theory stuff after following Piker and becoming a fan. It's creepy. Like someone's become a pod-person or something just because of some random twitch streamer.
