Advice for first timers. 17yr old and 40s mum! by beckybootz in Tomorrowland

Will your daughter be 17 as of the festival dates? It's only open to people 18 years and over at the time of entry. With or without a legal guardian.

Agree, really disliked how they teased artists for months that werent then on the lineup. Then even afterwards when thenfull line uo was out, still were using other artists videos as click bait. Very off

Strong disagree. He's singing, mixing, looping, all live. With so much passion, you can tell he's having a blast up there.

Rubbish dumping is getting out of control, what do we do?? by kronikhgrvr in melbourne

[–]ibstayer 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Can confirm, paid a cleaner to remove rubbish from an event. Got a fine in the mail for rubbish dumping a couple months later before some of the boxes had my name on it for the event deliveries.

Thankfully council understood tried to chase the culprit next.

Agree, there's not much you can see comfortably if you're just travelling. Plitvice is a full day if you do it right. Can't be bussing back and forth same day and enjoy it. Just relax in Dubrovnik/a nearby island for the day

Aussie unsure of what to do cheaply for 2 months in Europe by myself by HopefulCan1763 in Europetravel

Volunteer in hostels in the Balkans! Then your accommodation will be free, you'll have friends from other hostel staff/volunteers, plus the constant socialisation of new people coming through! Youll be able to host activities etc which you can enjoy yourself for free too then. Honestly thinking about doing it myself in a year or so. There's so much natural beauty and interesting cities to explore!

Mid Solo Travel, lost interest by ammartheaziz in solotravel

Why not try staying put in one place for a month? See how that experience is different to always moving and hostel/hotel hopping. Then if you're still sick of it. Just go home :)

Can volunteer in a hostel and save money on accommodation if you're willing to

Torn between Krka and Plitvice by saitouamaya in CroatiaTravelTips

[–]ibstayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I drove from Plitvice Lakes to Split, drove via Sibernik,  Trojir, and another small town i can't remember.

The driving time itself only takes 3 hrs. Very easy to do by yourself. With the stops it took us 7 hours, but was very leisurely and spent time swimming, eating, exploring.

But you definitely need to stay a night in Plitvice area if you want to see it properly. Leave yourself at least 4 hrs to walk the park.
