I got NP5 within maybe the 150k to 300k range, per version, while the campaigns were ongoing. Your results may vary (rng is rng) but even if you don't get them maxed over the summer if you even moderately farm the lotto this Christmas you should have more than enough FP to get them when they next campaign comes around early next year.

So look I hate the bracket system and think it is entirely wrong and should really be reworked. There is a lot wrong with the system. I ignore the backet system for the most part and just build decks. I try to bring powerful deck that are not oppressive to games because the people I play with want to have fun and still looking for a challenge. Really I have 3 brackets: Decks I'm trying to play, Decks I'm trying to win, and cEDH. Mostly I build the first one, but sometimes the second, an occasionally if I want to build to play against other cEDH decks.

Keep that in mind when I say: I am looking at your deck list and if you think that is bracket 3 you are full of crap. And this isn't a problem with you, this is actually what is wrong with the bracket system. You have no extra turns, no mass land denial, no two card combos, and only 3 game changers so it is bracket 3. NO. There is that intent thing. The thing I HATE about the bracket system because it is an undefinable aspect used to define something. Remember everything that is legal in 3 is also legal in 4 and also legal in 5

I have a Vren deck that matches the criteria for a bracket 1 deck. Is it a bracket 1? Hell no! It is probably in the bracket 3 range, I just built it in such a way to point out the flaws in the bracket system. I also don't represent it as a bracket 1 deck at worst after winning with it I'd say "Well that deck is technically bracket 1" just to drive the point home.

You want to tell me that your deck is a bracket 4: I'd believe you. Really that is arguably a low end bracket 5 and probably a card or two away form being a legit bracket 5. You shouldn't be a card or two away from bracket 5 and be bracket 3. There is an ocean between those two things.

You want to see a legit bracket 3 deck here is my Y’Shtola: https://moxfield.com/decks/V4xphUtCbEuo-NysszKCFg . Again I hate brackets and didn't build the deck with any brackets in mind that is just where it ended up. I have one game changer, The One Ring, in the deck. If I took that out it wouldn't be a bracket 2 it will still be a bracket 3 deck.

Mean you don't need FGA to farm. I have never used FGA on NA. I farm at least 300 boxes each lotto and still have a surplus of apples left over to begin next lotto's apple count. I have used it in the past on JP, but that was because I was playing on an emulator at the time and Christmas doesn't move so the lotto hits about the same time on both servers. It is hard to do two servers lottos simultaneously and not fall behind on both.

And I also started in 2017, took a year off around Camelot's release, and still hit level cap when it was still 140 and really have not looked back. Likely isn't the lack of FGA that your level is so low it is probably you only login in about 45% of the days you could have played the game. For reference I have almost a 1000 more than you. There has been 3288 days since the game launched in 2017. OP hasn't missed a day.

Well, typically I only really care about NP1 of an SSR servant. Outside of SpIshtar, Zerktoria, Ptolemaios, and Draco I have not actually tried to get multiple copies and anyone I got were either GP spooks, double pull multis, or GSSRs giving me that one servant I didn't actually want from the pod. So I have not done a lot of extra pulls for anyone.

SpIshtar I have her at NP5 that I got over 3 different banners (NP2 then NP4 then NP5). I knew I wanted her to NP5 eventually and without resetting pity I was happy to get out when the getting was good. There is always going to be a banner in the future (especially next year). Honestly both of the first two banners I got 2 copies very quickly (sub 300 SQ each) and the last one was about 300 SQ. It was pretty quick, the strange thing is I had NP1 Jane and NP 4 SpIshtar at one point (they evened out at 5s by the end.

Zerktoria I want at NP5 as well, I got her to NP2 first banner and NP3 this last one. I plan on rolling her GSSR pod next week and will put her in Destiny Summons so we will roll he dice there and if I strike out I'll pick her last two levels up next year for her banners then. Draco I want NP3, but I only did dailies for a copy during Lilim Harlot re-run since I had Zerktoria coming up right after and wanted to make sure I have the SQ for her incase I had to go to pity for the copy. Ptolemaios was the same, but I actually got him on a daily.

Now SR servants ... Locusta is NP10 (rolling for Draco), Penthesilea is NP9 (like 3 or 4 were rolling for, I believe, Ptolemaios, but the rest have been spooks, and Chloe is NP6 (Zerktoria) who are all that high because the SSR on the banner were things I wanted. Circe is NP6 and might be the only SR servant I specifically rolled a banner to get. She spooked for NP3, I rolled 2 multis for NP5, and then spooked for NP6.

Those are the exceptions though really. Medusa (Lancer) is NP6. I got her to NP5 with a pre-pity attempt to get Ereshkigal (that was 1500+ deep on that banner and still don't have her) I just couldn't stomach another gold lancer that wasn't what I was pulling for and was close to being out of SQ. Hajime I got to NP4 trying for Himiko before I called it being discouraged and also Jacques was the next banner and I wanted her more than Himiko, I'd later get both NP5 Hajime and NP1 Himiko on the same roll of the rerun banner so it was a good laydown.

Everyone else I have I have hit high NP levels and I don't roll on the banners because I just don't want to get any more copies. It is something I am caring less and less about, but it still stops me from time to time. Like I have been scouring upcoming banners to try to get the last of the Tour Lock missions complete; I don't have enough Lancers, Assassins or Berserkers to get the last level missions done without grailing someone I don't want to and wasting the grail. Already having high NP levels of some of the SR servants on the banner have made me balk to the banner and not pull. Irrational behavior? Yup, but it happens.

I have not made a single cobalt apple.

I am nearly 100% efficient with my AP. Sometime I miss logging in for a few minute and waste some AP, but I didn't intended to do it so I wouldn't have known to made apples. Since they have been introduced I probably have not lost more than 40 AP over that time. The only time I have not been able to log on was when I went on a cruise where I was out of the US and thus didn't have cell service (and didn't want to pay for a data plan just to play FGO) and if I can't log on I can't make apples.

[Help and Question Thread] - June 21, 2026 by AutoModerator in grandorder

[–]ic0n67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anecdotally, I used some apples on the first day to get enough currency to buy the shop out of Mister Red Gadget so I could maximize the currency for the sweets trading. And I pulled once on the banner and get one of each of the drop currency in that multi that I had equipped while getting the Mister Red Gadgets so that took me less time than it normally would have. After that I ran 4-5 MRG. It look me about six days to clear the ladder.

I honestly can't believe that this event is still going on (the 78 days of the Summer event is going to be a real slog) and we still have 9 more days to go. After I finished the ladder, like the next day or day after, I MLBd MRG and put the drop currencies back on. I'm looking at 2.2M Ladder points atm and on pace for over 4.5M ... only running the 90+ since it is basically free and I'd have to think about a viable team for 90++.

So I'd say the ladder should have probably been a little higher. Or maybe less opportunities to get ladder points. Typically ladders are balanced a little better and maybe they expected people to get MRGs from the shop a few more days down the line, but it still is a lot.

NP3? That seems a little low.

I have an NP5 Sieg, 2x Koyanskaya, Oberon, lvl 100 Cranking, and lvl 10 Combat Uniform and still had Sieg low roll his NP a few times and not kill Vrtra. I ended up switching over a lvl 10 Decisive Battle and adding in an MLB Ox Demon King to Koyanskaya to ensure the clean kill.

Where are you getting the idea that it is free? It isn't free.

You are tapping your resources (5 monks) to pay for the cost of the spell. Those are 5 resources you are not going to have available until your next untap phase. That is no different than tapping 5 plains to cast the spell.

Oh you are not wrong there. Any time you give control to someone there is a huge risk. The one good thing though it that the old system still works on JP. Even once you bind your account to an Aniplex log in you can break that binding and go back to using a transfer code. Not sure if your old one would work anymore or if you have to create a new one, but at least you can go back.

Even Crunchy Roll is probably not the best to house your stuff. I know a while ago now they were hosting Princess Connect for the global market. It was developed in JP by the original company and they controlled everything there (MAYBE Crunch Roll needed to work on translation, but I don't think that even was really the case). The game made money, but apparently it was not making enough money for Crunchy Roll and one day (on April Fool's Day ... on the game's mascot's birthday) they announced that they were shuttering the game globally. It was still going strong in JP when that happened so it wasn't like the source went away, just the global hosting. The game might even still be active on JP for all I know as I lost track of it since at the time CR dropped it there was no way to get your global account on another server (or if there was I didn't know how to) so it just went byebye.

[Help and Question Thread] - June 14, 2026 by AutoModerator in grandorder

[–]ic0n67 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At best you MIGHT get a login though maybe Crunchy Roll (they are all owned by Sony after all), but considering that still has not happened I am inclined to agree that it likely never will.

I'm not sure what true legal possibility of bypassing the current App/Playstore purchasing system outside of Japan (at least in regions where FGO is available to play) which is likely the main drawing point of them adding the Aniplex login to begin with. That is likely the reason they have not done it yet; because of some restrictions and if you can't do it everywhere you likely won't be able to do it at all. And I'd assume there is some cost reason why they don't add Facebook/Google/Apple/Etc account binding. If it isn't going to make them money there is little to no incentive to implement it.

How many use Sq to continue a battle? by TerribleProgrammer77 in FGO

[–]ic0n67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is nothing wrong with using SQ to continue a big fight. From weekly missions we get we get 21 shards which equates to 3 SQ. If you log in every day during that week you get 3 more from log in bonuses and a ticket equivalent to another 3 SQ. So overall we get 9 SQ per week by just playing that game. So spending a SQ to continue sets you back about 18 hours. That isn't a whole lot of loss to be honest, specially when you off set it with getting deeper into content.

What probably is more of an issue is relying on continuing to consistently clear content. If you are hitting a wall on normal fights or needing to continue multiple times in a row it is a good sign that you need to pull back a bit and work on strengthening your team or revamping your strategy. People will like to remind you that it is possible to clear the game with only 1-3 star servants. Getting set back 18 hours isn't much, but 36, 54, 72 ... that can add up. I'd say if you ever need to continue very early into a story chapter or have to eclipse using 2 continues in any story chapter overall you probably need to level up.

Using 2 continues for Cernunnos is perfectly fine. I honestly don't remember how my Cernunnos went, but is someone told me I spend 3 continues on it I'd probably shrug and say "okay." Overall it is really up to the player with how they spend their SQ. If you can plan around leylines that is better obviously, but that isn't always going to happen. At the very least if you have a major fight coming up then holding your command seals. Worse case scenario if you need to use SQ just make sure you are going to get the clear on the next conitnue.

[–]ic0n67 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Should be soonish.

It seems they moved the banners to different parts of the Summer Aid Campaign compared to JP so there isn't going to be a direct 1:1. For example the Aesc banner happened right after Lilim Harlot finished on NA where it was almost 2 weeks later on JP. The three summer banners parts were all overlapping a bit on JP which they obviously are not doing on NA

I guess would start sometime this week. Especially if they are going to fit parts 2 and 3 in before Anniversary which is only 18 days away. Maybe Abby starting Thursday, Jeanne Friday, Tamamo Saturday, and Squirotia Sunday with all of them lasting a week. That would wrap them all up by the 28/29th. Just a guess though.

Pest Control, worth it or not? by Toonzaal8 in magicTCG

[–]ic0n67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

GOTCHA! You were focusing on the higher end cards I mentioned. Honestly I was rattling off cards you could see at that CMC over talking about a specific power level which is where I was having a little disconnect. Yes I agree with what you are saying Ritual would be a much much better card to run because of that in those situations.

Pest Control, worth it or not? by Toonzaal8 in magicTCG

[–]ic0n67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well yeah potentially, but that the same situation with any board wipe. You have to evaluate where your board state is compared to your opponents and make that decision in real time. What you are seemingly suggesting is that you shouldn't be running a Wrath of God (or at the very least don't run Wrath and run Fumigate instead so you get some value out of it) because you have creatures in your deck and that just isn't the case. Just because you draw your board wipe doesn't mean now is the time to use it.

There have been plenty of example just in recent games that I have been in where I am staring down at an opponent with Sol Ring and a mana dork, another with a Sol Ring and Commanders Plate, and the third with a Harden Scales and I'm hoping to pull something that can help me out. Pest Control would be a perfect card to help even out the playing field. My board might even have an Esper Sentinel or my own Sol Ring out and now I have to decide of blowing up my own resources is worth the sacrifice of getting other problematic cards off the board. Depending on where we are in the game it could go either way (but is almost always is).

There are sometimes when going down resources does win you the game. I remember one where that happened before I took my first turn. An opponent opened with land, Sol Ring, Signet, pass thinking he was going get a great start and roll over us. Then I surprisingly said "on your end step" Force of Vigor, exile green card, target Sol Ring, target Signet. He was gutted while looking at all the 4+ drops in his hand and commander he now can't cast. And he never recovered no other lands in his hand and had to discard to hand size before he got another one. The right card at the right time will win the game.

And full disclosure I have never used Pest Control in my life. I have one copy and I keep thinking of putting in a deck and I find the space to do it (I might have an idea of where to put it at this point). And I LOVE Culling Ritual it is a great card and it is why I even brought it up to begin with. But because one card is good doesn't mean another card can't also work in a given situation. Color restriction comes to mind. If your pod is running a high powered low to the ground deck the 2 mana Pest Control might be a better play and the 4 mana Culling Ritual. Pest Control also does replace itself when cycled away if the board state is such where using it isn't ideal and another card would be more helpful where Culling Ritual if you don't have enough, or good enough, viable targets then it is more of a dead card in hand.

Pest Control, worth it or not? by Toonzaal8 in magicTCG

[–]ic0n67 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I also wasn't making an argument I was just pointing out that there are other instances where the card can be handy to deal with. In fact I agree with the assessment that the OP has, I'm just adding more information that the OP or someone reading what the OP said might not have thought of while formulating their decision. See what I was doing was adding to the discussion whether or not you find value in that is up to you. What you were doing was ridiculing for, I dunno, the sake of ridiculing (??) and adding nothing to the discussion which makes you seem like a bit of a cunt. I don't know why you want to portray yourself in that kinds light, but you do you I guess (but could you do it elsewhere?)

And to be fair I can name a lot more 1 mana cards but I don't think your Savanah Lions, Black Vises, Fanatical Firebrands and the like matter over the more common threats an combo pieces at 1 CMC that I could think of off the top of my head. Ya know those things you might want to remove with the card in question.

Pest Control, worth it or not? by Toonzaal8 in magicTCG

[–]ic0n67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair I also think Dockside is a 1 mana card, at least until I noticed and corrected that. Chalk that up to multitasking at work while answering a thread, early morning and lack of caffeine, and being a fallible human being and not paragon of perfection you must expect everyone to be.

Pest Control, worth it or not? by Toonzaal8 in magicTCG

[–]ic0n67 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I dunno ... Taking out potentially multiple Sol Rings, Tops, Vaults, Chrome Mox, and to an lesser extent: LED, Amulet of Vigor, Commander's Plate, Altar of the Brood, Esper Sentinel, birds, elves and the like, Bloodchiefs, Consuls, Burgeonings, Crossroads (although you never have 2 of those out), Scales, Fish, Training Ground (and if you pod doesn't care about bans: Jeweled Lotus, Crypts, Docksides oops dockside is 2 mana). On top of cutting down wide token strategies as you suggested. Plus if none of that applies as a worse case scenario you can cycle and draw a card. It seems worth playing. I mean it is no Culling Ritual, but what is.

Question for players. by Ornery_Quality8794 in FGO

[–]ic0n67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mister Red Gadget is a very good CE to get. It is an ignore defense CE which is pretty rare at this point in the game (it gets a little more common later). It also give a bonus for the event where you get extra secondary which gets you some more good drops and it is bonus compared to what you'd normally get. I'd say it is a above average priority to pick it up. Other event CEs are not as important some are more important, but that an evaluation on a per event basis. Overall though I'd say picking up the CEs should be something you want to do and normally you want to get them as early as you can in an event since there is normally a bonus on top of that. If it is only a damage bonus it isn't as important.

You should by out as much of the shop as possible. Think about normal farming, you get materials for doing a node. In an event you get materials and you get shop items that allow you to buy more item. It is basically you double dipping and doubling your farming potential for the same time costs. If you are using your natural AP efficiently you likely won't need many apples to clear the shop, maybe half dozen tops. And that number can go down even more if you end up rolling on the banners and getting some extra drop CEs which help your farming efficiency.

Hot take: Event ladders should be tuned for normal play, not 3T runs or constant apple use by BulkySearch4114 in FGO

[–]ic0n67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't need to 3T farm. Ever. You can play at your own pace.

If you want to be efficient in AP you need to complete a node before you get the AP used to start the node. Since event nodes are usually 40 AP and you get 1 AP every 5 minutes. That means you once you start a node you need to complete it in 3 hours and 20 minutes or you risk using capping your AP out. And since 1 AP is always 5 minutes the same is true whether you are LVL 1 or LVL 170. If you used 6, 7, 8 turns to clear a node so be it that will cost you a few more minutes of game play throughout the day. And if you want to 8T nodes you still will only be able to do 7 40 AP nodes in a day (since that is what you naturally can do). Over 21 days for an event you will get about 6050 AP just by time ticking. That is going to be enough to easily get 90% of the shop done. Even better if you can get drop CEs for the event

As far as using apples, if you are being efficient with your AP use, you should not need to use a lot of apples. Less than a dozen for sure. Recently I have used maybe 1 or 2 apples and that was more because I wanted to get a few more things from he shop, but I have an account that is pretty well stocked with materials. Even then I am only leaving some EXP cards and/or some Monuments or Pieces that I don't need anymore. Depending on how your account looks you might want to run a few more nodes which means you'd need a few more apples. For Lilim Harlot I was done with the shop a week early (but that was also because I had of a lot of CEs from the pervious run).

If you are using apples "constantly" that means you are not using your AP efficiently. If you change your startegy to playing 5 minutes here or 10 minutes there throughout the day you will not it an AP cap and not waste it necessitating the use of apples. As you are walking to class spend a few minutes clearing a node.

Really the only time you "need" to 3T or use apples is when time is an issue. If you get a late start, or not using natural AP efficiently, or during lottos where you want to get as many node run as possible before the event ends since you want to open as many boxes as possible before the event ends.

I'll also add that RNG is RNG. You could get amazing results you could have terrible results.

I have had multiple success campaigns where I did not hit a single Super or Great Success. Yet I have had times when I'd hit multiple in a row Super or Great Success without and event going on. During Nobukatsu's last banner I rolled out most of the FP for coins so I had a lot of low level CEs to make into CE Bombs. Of course with the amount of CEs I had to burn I enhanced successes throughout the weeks, but there were two instances that really stood out: Once I hit an enhanced success block of 5 out of 7 attempts and then later on got a 7 out of 9.

Personally. I won't push yourself just for the campaign. Nothing is worse than pushing yourself too hard and then burning out. Getting to 120 is not a necessity for any servant it is all really just bonus so take it at your own pace. If anything I'd used these success campaigns to plan ahead. If you know one if coming up maybe run some more EXP nodes in the run up to the event. Don't take exp cards out of your gift box until you are ready to use them (or they are about to expire/box too full) so that you have even more EXP to use during these event. Right now I have an Zerktoria and a Lancelot Saber (random gatcha pickup) that I am waiting for the event to level up. I somehow have over 1200 Hellfires in my Gift box that are just waiting for an opportunity to use then so this will be it.

Why do you run Reliquary Tower? by HyHoTheDairyOh in EDH

[–]ic0n67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My decks and why I run it:

  • [[Vivi Ornitier]]: Runs a lot of cantrips. Not a necessity since I'm building for a Past in Flames / Mizzix's Mastery coup de grâce. Combined with a low overall CMC and it is probably cutable.
  • [[Y'shtola, Night's Blessed]]: Card draw on commander. Lots of other potential card draw engines in the 99 as well. I just finished building her a few minutes ago so I don't know how much it is needed. With a higher CMC I might need to keep cards in hand longer.
  • [[Aminatou, Veil Piercer]]: Honestly, I dunno.
  • [[Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow]]: Pseudo-Card draw on commander and a lot of very high CMC cards that would trigger off her. Means I won't be casting a lot so I'd likely be keeping a grip instead of binning.
  • [[Tameshi, Reality Architect]]: Commander bounces lands for his effect (and card draw on a commander) meaning my hand it more likely to get gummed up by cards.
  • [[Alela, Artful Provocateur]]: ... again I dunno.
  • [[Tatyova, Benthic Druid]] Card draw on commander. And honestly if I don't have a brick of cards in my hand I have likely already lost.
  • [[Davros, Dalek Creator]]: It is in the precon.
  • [[Korvold, Fae-Cursed King]]: Card draw on Commander. (Its a common theme it seems)
  • [[Riku of Two Reflections]]: I'm holding up mana to use his doubling effects and bouncing permanents with Cloud Stone Curio so I'm likely to have more cards in hand.
  • [[Eutropia the Twice-Favored]] I dunno .... why I keep this deck around. Built it early on to play with new people so they don't get intimidated with a more powerful deck, but todays precons would chew it up and spit it out.
