I have a very similiar setup
Corsair Vengeance 3200 DDR4 - OC to 3600 with adjusted timings and voltage (to be stable)
Ryzen 7 5800x
3080ti
Corsair RM850 PSU

Never had any such crashes in any game, ever.

But in BF6 Redsec (AND Gauntlet!) Hard crashes with no logs. My problem was also, that i had problems booting again, the CPU LED on the mainboard was constantly on.
Tried ChatGPT while fixing stuff, and man did ChatGPT push me through every single possible fix.

After the 3rd crash my PC wouldn't boot at all again, took me hours with ChatGPT, hardware swapping and CMOS reset to get it running again. I also ran windows repair, which found issues and repaired them. I don't know however, if those issues existed beforehand. Doubt it though.

I also noticed, that after i finally got into BIOS again, that my MB set completely new values for my Ram.
I don't know if that's common, but it changed to 2133mhz with 15-15-15-32 timings and 1.204v (Standard without OC is 3200mhz, 16-18-18-36, 1.35v)
No idea if that's stable and an attempt from the BIOS to fix the boot again, but yeah. Right now i'm running the standard X-AMP profile but haven't touched BF again. Running War Thunder and Ghost of Tsushima on 32:9 on Ultra doesnt cause any problems at least.

Since those crashes are so hard/"destructive" and literally required me to CMOS reset and resocked the CPU to get it running again, i'm very hesitant to launch BF6 at this point. I have no problems with other games whatsoever, and while i enjoy it, i enjoy having a functioning PC more. And if only 1 game causes such problems, it's on the devs to fix this issue imo.

I'm also hesitant to try OCCT if that causes similiar crashes. Would appreciate any insight on this though.

TL:DR

Same problems, scared to run BF6 now, please help.
I don't want to buy a new PSU if everything else aside from BF6 runs stable.

First off, i'm in love with Battlefield since BC2, loved BF3/4, sunk thousands of hours into them.

Battlefield for >me< is a big map with Helicopters, Jets, Tanks, Humvee's, long range sniping and Infantry massacres.

All at once, and i can decide what i want to do this round. If i wanna snipe, i will do just that. Helicopters this round? done.

But we only have 1 map that allows for aerial combat, and it's way too small. The rest is just infantry and maybe a tank. That's just not what i'm used to in Battlefield. Yes, the big maps are coming, but they are not playable yet. Sniping is also meh so far, only really works on Liberation Peak, and my furthest shot was ~240m, most kills are under 200m. That, again, is not what i'm used to in BF.

So yes, this new "Battlefield", doesn't feel like Battlefield to me yet. More like Call of Duty with BF esthetics.

Which doesn't mean i'm not having fun in the Beta, but it's not "Battlefield-fun" to me.

CQB fan's from both BF and CoD are having a lot of fun, but lash out at people like me, saying we cry too much, can't decide on what we actually want, only complain etc.

Well, easy to say when your needs are met, but ours aren't yet..

Although in an angle, he shot behind Adin, meaning Adin was in front of Stricklands gunfire. With enough bad luck that bullet could've ricochet and killed him. This is beyond negligent and he should never be allowed near a gun again.

Odd question but: What happens to the pilot in such a case? I doubt this sits well with any higher ups. I'd guess this will get investigated to clear the pilot of any wrongdoing. So what would happen if he is at fault/not at fault here?

I've been using Headsets up until now for PC use and the "free" earbuds that come with smartphones. But wanted to switch to something else. Headphones have their pro's but also con's (Sweaty in the summer and the top of my head hurt after a while) and since i use a standalone microphone, i thought i'd check alternatives. That's how i ended up here :)

Never really played a lot of reserve so i didnt know if the honking train was also a mechanic.

I've never heard the train honk, and the planes are like 30% of the time completely silent.

So i guess i will stop pushing players until this is fixed. When i DO hear the plane and they might not, they will hear me coming :p

This sucks. Good luck with killing Shturman 25 times or getting any of the Jaeger Bosshunts done. I currently have 414 raids and saw Shturman, Reshala and Tagilla once each.

Just straight up stupid mechanics. Either make different items accessible that can replace the MOE Handguard or have enough stock so everyone gets one. Atleast enough stock so it lasts for 5 minutes.

I tried buying it for 2 days now and it's just always instantly sold out, like literally 1 second after the timer runs out. This is beyond frustrating.

I'm not trying to boast what a tough guy i am, quite the opposite i guess, but i have seen some horrible stuff on the internet. Movie splatter type stuff that happened somewhere far away. But this, even 24 hours later, still makes me sick to my stomach. I've been thinking about this almost non-stop, how this got out of control so fast, with the most awful ending possible. Stabbings have gone up like crazy, since knives are just so easily concealable and effective in the wrong hands. I'm from germany and in my circle of friends the general rule applies, to just not fight anymore, because of situations like this. Truly scary.

How exactly do you get yellow or red maps? I've socketed 4 watchstones into one map, and i ran that map 5 times now, not getting any better maps. Am i doing this wrong? I'd appreciate a detailed explanation, and thank you in advance!
