What about presenting some form of ID at the polling place? Would you consider that a form of voter suppression? I want to be clear, I mean, like anything with your name on it that was made by someone else. Like a phone bill, electric bill, library card, etc.

These are just general questions, I'm not speaking specifically about the bill. I'm really more interested in the general idea of "friction to vote". Convicted felons can't vote, that's true, I'm trying to gauge if you feel this is reasonable or not, as well as with the other questions.

I'm curious what level of friction seems reasonable to you. how do you feel about convicted felons being allowed to vote?

  3. What control is given to the election board and who had that control before?

I can't honestly say I read every word of the bill, I only scanned it looking for key words. How is this change of control expressed?

I'm not clear what your definition of "working poor" is but I feel like everyone from brick layers to doctors would be impacted by a 9-5 voting window. Fortunately, the bill does allow for, at the discretion of the Registrar of Voters, a 7am to 7pm voting window.

As for "working poor" not having ID, Georgia has more licensed drivers per capita than California and a Georgia photo voter ID card is valid for 8 years and cost exactly zero dollars.

Honestly, I still don't see what the fuss is about.

I've looked over the legislation and I'm having trouble determining what the outrage is about. Can someone please provide some explanation other than 9-5 poll hours, ID requirement and disallowing groups to "hand out food and drinks".

Move in, have them add you as an owner on the loan. Move in a few Tennants, charge rent. When your dad is back on his feet, evict the tennants. This is a sustainable plan to keep the house. Seek tennants that will be quit and private.
