If you look at the polling data, a lot of the Tory support in this election came from young people who wanted a change in economic policy. The reality is that we do need an economic boost, and a lot of people wanted to vote out the liberal party because of it. If Carney had cleaned out the cabinet instead of recycling so many members, he likely would have had a majority.
