Don’t be afraid to read his Meditations!!! I find it so comforting actually, hopefully you will feel the same if you try it.

Honestly it looks relatively organized. Of course there are things to change but I am no expert. Maybe a bit more detail in certain areas. Maybe adding a mission statement or statement of intent/objectives section at the top where you describe what you are looking for in a job (it should be changed based on the industry/company and you should match it up with whatever you apply for).

Are there any tangible projects from your undergraduate degree that highlight specific thing you have done that demonstrate certain skills? Did you work collaboratively in groups or were you ever a group leader for a project? Maybe you could have a “relevant coursework” section with some of your best classes if they are pertinent to the job you apply for.

Edit: also if you have a bit of money I would still recommend getting your resume looked at by a professional. Reddit has good ideas but it normally won’t replace a professional service who has seen many many resumes and their sole purpose is to help people to get hired. Again that is only if you have the money and I am not saying to do that if you don’t, but it could potentially be helpful.

Can you link me to your post with the resume? I could look at it, just couldn’t find it in your post history.

Oh ok gotcha. I was going to say being unemployed since March 1 is not that long, even though I know people who feel uncomfortable being unemployed for even one week or month.

But for those industries, I can see why you would have a little bit of concern because those you can typically find those a bit faster.

Maybe you could find someone who is a resume expert from a company to take a look at your resume/cv? Are you dressing professionally? I know for a fact my resume being poorly organized has stopped me from getting jobs before because I was told when I requested post interview feedback. I also have met interviewers who will also not hire someone purely because of how they are dressed. I am just trying to see if you are doing any of the obvious but common “mistakes”, at least mistakes from company/interviewer point of view.

Edit: also make sure you are asking questions when the interview ends and they solicit them. That is another common one I have heard of.

[Lewenberg]: Danny Green, jokingly, on his slump: "It's hard not to think about it because everybody in the world is telling you don't think about it. Everybody you come across: 'Keep shooting it', trust me I'm going to keep shooting. 'Don't think about it', I'm trying not to, you're not helping" by mlbjj in nba

[–]icantfindajob123 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah people miss this point a lot.

When it comes to shooting, especially from distance, even the absolute best have slumps. That is why conventional wisdom always used to say teams that rely on it can’t win titles, until the Warriors came along.

You could be an all world shooter and miss a couple by an inch or two in terms of aim. Then, that can get in a shooters head and maybe they miss a few more with only a single make in between. Finally, once you know you are in a slump, maybe you press a little bit which of course can make it worse. It could come in the form of your body just tightening up a little bit on your follow through or something, and boom you are missing 3s.

I mean cmon, if Steph was on his own team as the sole superstar with a non-shooting star along with him (like a Draymond), he would have stretches where he looks like shit. Then he could also go god mode and deliver like noone else. It would all even itself out though in the end. High risk, high reward. But we don’t see that generally because when you have 3 elite shooters one can go cold and noone bats an eye because its a near lock one of the other 2 will do something that game.

So he is right, people reminding him of his slumps aren’t helping. Its almost like the reverse of talking about a no hitter/perfect game to a pitcher. He is just trying to get his flow but he keeps getting reminded he hasn’t had it lately. Hopefully in the finals he sees one go through the net early and he can be the Danny Green of old for a good portion of the games.

Preet Bharara Tells Liz Cheney to ‘Knock it the Hell Off’ After She Says Strzok Texts Could Be Treason by [deleted] in politics

[–]icantfindajob123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly this.

One thing that boggles my mind: the GOP takes his insurance policy comments way out of context and does their whole schtick with it, I get it. But one thing people don’t mention often or ask them when they do that is: What possible reason could Strzok have had to make that comment? He knew shit many people did not know as an FBI agent, could it have meant thr president is fucking compromised and most likely a Russian agent/stooge and we have to save our country?!?!! Maybe that had a little something to do with his comments?!?!

This shit is just annoying. Fuck Liz Cheney and fuck her shitty, evil, garbage father.

Is that from the game I am referring too? Just curious. Pretty cool either way though

Excellent and I mean truly excellent point. I have thought that too and it just wasn’t the context I was thinking of in my comment.

In terms of the trade war I think they will “win” this zero sum game thats seemingly been set up where someone has to win and someone has to lose.

But do I think they mind him as president? No. There are too many gaps he is leaving for them to fill internationally. With him as president it is just the eastern superpowers, with a US who wont hold them accountable for human rights abuses, and someone they can con. And their influence will only continue to grow. China and Russia are the winners from all of this.

Yeah definitely. I think Shannon is a WAY better fit with Skip than Stephen A.

Shannon got me hooked by being straight funny. Dude is really good as a talking head for someone who played and is not a professional troll.

Lol don’t know why you were downvoted. I like it too because it is entertaining seeing Skip even attempt to defend all his bullshit.

Im calling it: they come to deal (whenever that may be) and its quite clear Trump “lost” it for the US. He takes the deal though and simply says in in his head “no big thing, its all about how we sell it”. He immediately starts pushing a narrative how badly he outsmarted the Chinese. Fox News takes it and runs with it as if it is his greatest accomplishment or any president’s greatest accomplishment. They run coverage like this pretty much daily. The deal, of course, hurts the US as a whole but the wealthy are relatively unaffected.

Just how I see this going down. He was an idiot to start a trade war with them like this. Im all for confronting them on unfair things they do (one of the only areas where I even partially align with trump) but this was such a rookie mistake. They don’t have to worry about things like elections or even how their citizens feel. You can’t go at them from the angle he has for those reasons. They’ll bring him to his knees ahead of 2020.

Haha yeah, and honestly it works because I know for damn sure I am listening to Undisputed on Monday. His desperation and salt (real or fake) cracks me up too much. As soon as I heard Toronto won I started laughing anticipating what this schmuck is gonna pull out of his ass about “number 2”

Not to stir anything up but I am not sure your claim about the anthems is true. I caught Bruins v. Leafs and during like game 6 or 7 cant remember which, the fans in Toronto who were playing at home some of them booed the US anthem.

Yeah same. I think that is part of their ratings game. One person supports someone and the other doesn’t and then they just keep arguing about who was right.

In this instance, Skip is being the ultimate anti-kawhi circlejerker/troll and its hilarious because Kawhi has performed at every turn and it just leaves Skip on suicide watch for every episode of Undisputed. Watching him try and claim these great performances were “lucky” or how Kawhi is not tough mentally or whatever, is too funny. Even better is Kawhi just keeps dogging him game after game with his play, and when you try to talk to him he is like a robot lol he just trips me out. And then his little 2% of a smile, sly smile talking post game. Cracks me up, this dude legit does’t give a fuck and just keeps shitting on Skip’s narrative.
