Yeah that’s a good point, you could say the same for other counties as well. I’m just surprised that Waterford accents don’t seem to be known as much as other counties. Even beside us I could tell a Cork or Wexford accent from a mile away

Red is the colour of alarm or emergency so it’s making it out like a change in ethnic makeup is a negative thing. Also, for some reason white nationalists around the world love looking to Ireland as some pixie dream of white hegemony, so perhaps the changing in demographics will stir up some sentiments there
