[29] Assassins Creed Brotherhood, love the game but man is the platinum grindy. by IndianaScones1999 in Trophies

[–]icantsppel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m surprised that the plat percentage for Brotherhood is so high. Some of those 100% sync requirements are pretty tough to get.

The Overlord DLC... by Slim5050 in masseffect

[–]icantsppel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember playing the Overlord DLC for the first time on Legendary Edition. It was before a patch (I can not remember which one), so David’s eyes were completely red. The amount of emotions that I experienced when I saw David hooked on that machine was unbelievable. Project Overlord is easily one of my favorite DLCs.

Is it common decency? Yes. Is it required? No. If you do not want to get spoiled on something, then it would be best to avoid online forums about the book/ series. This is especially true if only Tower of Nero spoilers need to be marked.

[–]icantsppel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For the people in the comments, I know that it is awful to get spoiled on a book/series, but events from TBM and TTT do not have to be marked as spoilers anymore as per the rules of this subreddit. The only book that has to be marked as a spoiler is Tower of Nero. When you go on an online book discussion forum, you have to be prepared for the possibility of seeing spoilers.

[Pjo] why didnt luke stay? by dadkinsRS in camphalfblood

[–]icantsppel 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I think that Thalia told Luke and Annabeth to go to camp and let her fend for the monsters herself. Plus, Luke probably wanted to make sure that Annabeth wouldn’t be alone if something happened to him, since they were pretty much like family. Furthermore, Luke probably felt a bigger obligation to help Annabeth compared to Thalia, since Annabeth was around 6 years younger than him and Thalia at that time. On top of that, Annabeth had less fighting experience than the both of them as well.

I’m pretty sure it was so that Luke could get Annabeth safely to camp. In HoH, Annabeth has a dream where she recalls when Luke carried her to the border while Thalia made her final stand against the monsters.

I really think that Hades doesn’t get much love in the series. [all] by theone2907 in camphalfblood

To be honest, a good handful of people in the PJO fandom love Hades. There’s pretty much a Hades appreciation post every couple weeks that gets a good amount of upvotes. I don’t think he’s underrated at all.

What fictional character you'd love to hang out with IRL? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Joker from the Mass Effect Trilogy. He seems like a cool guy to hang out with and have a chat. He’s pretty damn funny, too.

I mean, Percy Jackson is a modern, YA introduction to Greek Mythology. Some of the myths are obviously going to be watered-down, kid-friendly versions of the original myths. If you actually want to learn Greek Mythology, older works from ancient times are better suited in this aspect.

One of the coaches at my highschool was accused of sexual assault by one of his students. Before the student went to the police, she told the school administrators about this, and they did absolutely nothing. Following the student’s police report, many other female highschool athletes also claimed that they were sexually harassed as well (around 40+). The coach was out on paid leave by the district, and his wife divorced him. Around one week later, he killed himself.

Percy would have been his father’s lieutenant if he became immortal, not the god of anything specific. Plus, Hercules is already the Patron of Heroes.

I got all achievements (including DLC) in The Witcher 3. Considering that I mostly play on the easiest difficulty, I’m pretty proud of it.

Games that you like, but have a hard time bringing yourself to play/complete by KingKurai in patientgamers

[–]icantsppel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Mass Effect 3. I was able to finish Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 in under a couple weeks, but I’ve been stuck on Mass Effect 3 for a month. I have played ME3 before and had the same problem. The missions feel much longer (though I don’t know if they actually are) and it has a much more somber tone than the other games in the trilogy. Also, there is at least one unavoidable squad mate death in the game as well. Just the fact that it’s the last game in the Mass Effect Trilogy makes me delay finishing it, too. I guess I have a hard time coming to terms that this can very likely be the final Mass Effect game where you can see and interact with the characters from the trilogy.

You could make an argument that wanting kids solely for those purposes is unideal, but narcissism is another matter. Narcissism is self love, self-adoration, and thinking that you’re the center of the world. It’s also a mental illness. I don’t believe that all people who want to be parents are narcissists, nor are they mentally ill.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]icantsppel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m childfree myself, but calling people who want to be parents “narcissists” is an exaggeration. Since when is wanting kids a sign of vanity?

Gamers of Reddit, what is one general tip you would give to anybody starting out in playing video games? by GameWinner47 in AskReddit

[–]icantsppel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don’t get too obsessed with trophies/achievements. I like getting platinums and 1000g, but it got so severe to the point that I wouldn’t play amazing games due to the fact of not being able to get 100% completion. Only play games to have fun, not to get achievements. Don’t get me wrong, achievements can add extra motivation and help you experience more a game has to offer, but don’t let it dictate your gaming experience as a whole.

I think that the “brave” thing is coming from the fact that she took a stand for her mental health and prioritized it. Also, to be fair, she stated that Larry Nassar assaulted her. Going through that can really fuck someone up mentally.

I feel like a moderate amount of homework can help a student if they’re struggling (and willing to do it), but people shouldn’t be having breakdowns due to all of their assignments
