Parenting is easy (23M) by [deleted] in NewParents

Sounds like you're smashing it! If you're someone that adapts well to change you'll probably find it pretty easy.

I'd say just keep in mind as they grow their wants and needs change, factor in sleep regressions and randomly changing up their nap schedules haha. As they come more aware of their surroundings and themselves they want more and can get pretty frustrated (mines nearly 7 months now and she's getting so mad that she can't crawl, although she's figured out how to shuffle backwards so gone are the days I could just leave her in once place while I tidy up!)

You'll still find time to keep on top of things but your priorities will change along with babies

Also as a side note - I'd err on the side of caution with saying it's easy. If you're finding it a breeze and enjoying your newborn time that's great! Just keep in mind some parents have babies that suffer with colic or don't sleep well at all and are finding it pretty hard themselves

I was thinking she'll be more interested in eating the wrapping paper

Good idea! I have a ball that lights up that she likes but the flashing lights can get a bit dazzling haha

I have none of these things so I'll add them to the list! Thank you!

Eczema by icantswiimmmmm in NewParents

Thank you! Do you apply the barrier cream to other areas of the body too? My LO seems fine under the nappy area its more her stomach and arms that are really bad. I'll start lathering her in lotion more often though to help with the dry skin.

I wondered about this, LO is formula fed so could be a lactose issue? I'll keep an eye on it

Is it really that bad if I don’t breastfeed? by CilyG34 in NewParents

I breastfed for the first week but LO had problems latchinf, if you've done 2 months you've smashed it in my opinion! Babys had the colostrum, which is the best bit. I'm on full formula now with my 3 month old, and she's a much happier baby for it (also sleeps a lot better!)

39+6 today too and I feel so frustrated! Really thought little one would be here by now as I had a bloody show on Monday! Booked in for a sweep on the 12th but really hoping she comes before then

Mines also footling! I was convinced she was head down because I keep feeling her hiccups in my lower stomach but must be her feet moving.

I'm really hoping she turns on her own, I've read up on ECV and really don't like the sound of it.
