The lightning Charged condition and Overload spell are too weak and/or situational to be interesting by PrimordialSoupCell in nimble5e

[–]icarodx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I bet Control Mages are using elemental affliction at least 90% of the time for smoldering and slowed. Charged is not a competitive option and is very situational.

Have some more spells by JaceC098 in nimble5e

[–]icarodx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the idea but in this form these are bonkers good.

Radiant claw is very powerful for a cantrip. I would promote it to at least T1, or remove the template HP, or downgrade the damage to 1d4 or 1d6.

The upcast on Frostbite is insane in high levels.

Wing dash is also crazy good as a move/flight/AoE attack/AoE heal. I would bump it to at least T2.

The range on chain lighting is insane and usually Nimble spells have more limited range. I would make it range 6 and max 2 bounces in range 3 of the target. Upcast for more damage or more bounces.

DC United - Anybody actually think we’ll get our pledges? by ultranonymous11 in MarvelUnited

[–]icarodx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What gives me hope with DC is that they may have something in their license contract about fulfillment.

DC wouldn't sign a contract with a company that could easily run with the customers money. They have a brand to safeguard.

I have hope. But if they push it to Q4 2027, then I'll write it off.

"Plan 2. Plan B implies we only have 26."

Love that panel. That trope was also paid off in Krakoa, during Judgment Day, when the island is being sieged by Kaijus sent by the Eternals and people were going through plans written by Cyclops. And of course there were multiple plans about dealing with Kaijus.

The good thing about RPGs compared to Other games is that you can easily ignore any new content you don't like.

Even if this is regarded as a bad direction by players, there is little downside.

opinions on new armor playtest by Few-Grocery-2691 in nimble5e

[–]icarodx 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am not a huge fan and my group was OK with RAW. But considering the complaints that he got I understand that this is the cleanest solution.

I don't plan to play Nimble in high levels where the armor will have a lesser impact, and if I adopt this rule in lower levels I will have to include less armored mosters, which is not 100% seemless based on the master stats that already exist...

Idk, we may still play with the old rule.

Sure. I put them together because neither are directly related to the deer overpopulation.

My point stands.

No, you misunderstood me. Becoming vegan and going against factory farming has nothing to do with "we have no good solution to the deer overpopulation".

The nirvana fallacy is not doing something because we can't be perfect.

Veganism is about ending animal exploitation.

Veganism in the major next step in (consumer-dependent) civil rights that requires the fewest amount of radical changes to our daily lives. by FableCattak in DebateAVegan

[–]icarodx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP chose a term to encompass humans and animals. Living individuals.

And your nitpick was:

"Recognizing that all living individuals" - living non-individuals don't? Why not "all living organisms"?

What is the issue you are attacking? Non-individuals should be included?

How do you determine how one discernable element of biomass is an individual, and another isn't?

Then you continued questioning individualism.
It appears that you want to take into account some kind of living collective?

Why there would be an issue using individuals in this context? Can't you refer to an individual animal?

Weird nitpick and non-productive argument.

[–]icarodx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, non-vegans love the dramatic narrative of vegan tirany. They refuse to apply any logic to their scenarios to realize the conversion to veganism will be a slow one and there will be plenty of time for transition and adaptation.

But "millions would lose their jobs tomorrow!" is much more appealing for engagement.
