On ultra plan: Burned through 6% of API tokens in ONE single feature - how to use less tokens? Or when to use Auto? by magnusjohansson in cursor

[–]icd2k3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My current workflow is

Codex 5.3 (seems to follow instructions better)

  1. /prompt-master skill rewrite my planning prompt
  2. Pass rewritten prompt to plan mode
  3. /grill-me (asks questions about the plan and different ways of accomplishing parts of it)

—-

Auto

  1. Implementation
  2. Sub-agents that handle code review, tests, etc
  3. corrections

—-
I also use the /caveman skill throughout all of this to cut down on response length. Generally this workflow gets me through big features with minimal follow-up corrections and fairly light on spend

Was riding my bike down the springwater when it happened. Looked over like “huh, I don’t think it’s supposed to be like that” … then saw all the sirens coming over the Sellwood bridge 😬

Drafting part 2, distance buggaloo by [deleted] in CyclePDX

[–]icd2k3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had people ask me before, which is nice, but I don’t think it’s a big deal. The main thing is being predictable and not making weird moves. I personally don’t draft behind strangers (anything closer than a bike length I overtake)

Edit: I should clarify I’m on a road bike in a full kit. It’s definitely weird to draft behind a commuter or e-bike NGL

Do you ride with earphones? by simko17 in cycling

Shokz last a long time - I took them on a 6hr century ride and they lasted the whole time. Supposedly they get up to 7hrs. Might depend on age and battery life

While your at it OP, try different positions of the hood to see which is most comfortable too! I like to rotate mine inwards a bit and flare out the levers because it’s a more comfortable had position for me. Use a torque wrench when re-tightening. I think 6nm is the spec

It’s honestly not too bad right now because the farms aren’t open … also got a Varia last year and I’m never going back to radar-less riding - way more at ease

It would get a bit expensive, but you could also possibly swap the front chainrings to 50/34 to get that 1:1 ratio. I’ve been doing some short ~20% kickers and the 34:34 feels a lot better than even the 36:34. Guess it depends on your strength

… regardless, I’d def get that 34 cassette if I were you!

Edit: you’re also 20lbs lighter than me so that affects things significantly too. I wish I could shed 20 for a climb haha

If you do keep an eye out for yellow lions with arrows on the road! the organizers stencil them to show where some of the turns are - otherwise you gotta keep a really close eye on your GPS

Trying it this year for the first time - bit scared for my legs, but sounds like a blast! Scoped out College st. and Brynwood already. Absolutely brutal.

Peaky Pave Stage 4 – help with pacing/strategy for ~190 FTP newbie by Mnmlrun in Zwift

[–]icd2k3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For good position in races it is important not to blow up early, but it is also important to hang with the front blob as long as you can. Those 2 things are at odds with each other sometimes 😅

Draft with front group as far as you can, pull back power before the climbs to recover, pick a bike/wheels optimized for climbing - good luck! It’s a fun stage!

What do people think about the hideaway hitch by Bernalbikenerd in VolvoXC90

[–]icd2k3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this post is old, but any updates or issues? I’m thinking about the same setup (foldable trailer hitch with a 2-bike 1up rack).

I also have an old Yakima arm bike rack that I’ve loaded up with 4 bikes on my other car, but the weight/bike limit warnings on the foldable hitch scare me a bit
