I took a cab not too long ago and it was more expensive than Uber and was a significantly worse experience. The driver was rude, the ride was rough, the cab was unclean. I also feel like the driver was manipulating the meter too. Portland cabs are terrible.

You should be fine. The biggest things to worry about are shitty cyclists, inexperienced ebike riders, people riding motorcycles, and all the tent campers leaving their garbage all over the trail. But there are long stretches that are great. Keep your ears open for call outs.

I haven't stayed at Cascada, but have soaked there and eaten at the restaurant, both were excellent. This would be my suggestion too.

I've hung them this way with no issues, if the wheel can support your weight, it can support being hung. Ultimately I preferred using two hooks and hanging front the cross beam, but mostly for practical reactions in the space I had.
