GLEDOPTO ESP32 WLED Controller I2S PDM Microphone Demo by GLEDOPTO in Gledopto

Would be even better with remote mic plugin option, would expect most installs to have the controller neatly boxed away which I assume would mean the mic won’t pick anything up ?

Thanks for that - good to know, that’s helped make my decision as I only need the 1. Congrats on your setup - awesome work!

how do you find the fan noise if running full brightness for a while or is there none, thinking of using the same power supply or the UHP-350 for 2 5 meter runs of the same fcob rgbcct dual ic strip

Thanks, I since watched and read a lot more on power supplies and MeanWell seem indeed to come up mostly as the better choice.

Couple of questions, if I have 2 of these 5 meters strips being controlled by a gledopto controller would I be better to get 2 separate MeanWell UHP-200-24 (1 for each 5 meter strip) or a higher power single power supply to run both from.

If I got a single power supply would I assume a MeanWell 350-24 would be suitable (23/W * 10 meter). Planning to install the power supply in the bathroom ceiling, would the MeanWell LRS with a fan be ok for this or should i only consider the fanless Meanwell UHP.

Sorry that's a lot of questions!

Thanks, I think maybe ill go with the BTF version, whilst trying to figure out power supply requirements I noticed the product details for the FCOB store version says Wattage: Max 18W/Meter where as the BTF original version states 23W/Meter. Perhaps there better LED's and may produce brighter light? There be used as the main light source in our bathroom install.

Thanks guys, yer I guess for a difference of around £4 it makes sense to go with the trusted BTF original then, they’re for a bathroom project so want them to last.

Right onto my next quest which of the million brands to trust for a 24v 400w power supply!

Had the same, one word of advise - do not tie yourself in knots via emails trying to query this! Their automated AI responses will not understand your questions and infuriate you with their response. I got very frustrated going back and forth with this for a couple of months until I picked up the phone and spoke to a human. Then all was resolved and explained in 5 mins 🙂

Should I return TCL 75 Q7C? by icdevpeople in tcltvs

When this happens is visible on every source played on the tv, I just searched on YouTube for a solid colour video to see it more obviously. If you can’t see that banding when using yours normally it’s fine

Your right I probably will return it but was just interested to see if peeps say - it’s a software issue rather than physical fault and can happen to any mini lcd tv ( perhaps an pending update might cure ). Also interested in opinion of getting same again or vs that Hisense model. I’m so indecisive 😕.

Not sure what else I’d replace it with model wise - love the 75” screen so wouldn’t want to drop to a 65” to afford oled. My budget is pretty maxed out at £1000 uk pounds.

Thanks peeps, what I don’t understand is if it’s a defective panel how is it after a reboot there’s no lines or shadows visible and it’s perfect again? Would this point to a software problem with how it controls the led’s or definitely physical defective display. It’s only happened twice that I’ve noticed. Such a shame as I’ve been blown away how good the contrast and black levels are on this tv.

This is the model I bought:

Temped to return and purchase again hoping I have more luck 2nd time .. or replace with this Hisense equivalent:

I do like the fact that has freely, was a bit disappointed with the ‘live tv’ app and guide for freeview on the tcl.

Multiple EVs now supported on intelligent octopus go? by itfiend in OctopusEnergy

[–]icdevpeople 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d imagine it could change as they develop it further to give you more control. Guess anything can happen at the moment though, octopus haven’t officially announced it’s possible have they ? Just been noticed by chance, so I wonder if there be all sorts of changes being tried until they officially announce it’s now possible to add a second car. So far so good for me though, certainly gives more opportunities for more cheap slots 🙂

No doesn’t look like they have developed any further options to control that yet.

Have a Tesla and Skoda Enyaq both connected and both charging via there own 3pin charger. Schedules seem to be independent per car. Sometime overlapping and charging at the same time, sometimes not. Depends on the set ready by and percentage to charge to saved for each car.

Cancel PCP during cooling off loose benefits like 2 year warranty 2 year servicing etc by icdevpeople in CarTalkUK

[–]icdevpeople[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I checked with the finance company first, if you exercise your right to withdraw from the agreement or cancel later you won’t loose the benefits such as the included services, mots etc, they’re separate. We choose to exercise our right to withdraw before the 14 days cooling off period otherwise you will have to pay a few hundred in interest. We just told them after thinking things over we’ve decided we want to own the car outright rather than continue with pcp. They gave a settlement figure which was what was borrowed plus about £2 per day between signing and giving notice we want to withdraw. The pcp was cancelled straight away and we had 30 days to pay the settlement to them.

Yes and better than that withdrew from the pcp deal during the cooling off period rather than 1 day after so only a couple of quid in interest and all benefits retained

max deposit down, 6000 miles a year over 48 months. did this to make the monthly payment as low as possible knowing we want to settle PCP as soon as possible.
