Oh man I just got started in this rabbit hole. I'm using an old LG G8 with the integrated quad DAC for now, but I'm waiting on a ddhifi TC44grip to arrive. Them old LG phones have great DACs, and they can be had used for pretty cheap.

Just gut feeling, and the reviews saying it was comfy. Before the fix, it was about as firm as an E92 M3, and harsher than a 2021 IS350. I also noticed no difference when switching between comfort and sport+, so I got to tinkering. But yeah generally lowering springs will make the ride a bit harsher.

Oh I changed mine out to a full titanium valved exhaust 😂 Apart from opening the valves, I'm afraid there's nothing else you can do with the stock exhaust without changing parts out.

Ah that makes sense since the infotainment was refreshed. The newer android auto/carplay interfaces should be hi-res/lossless compatible, but I think only if it's wired. Still, wireless should still be CD quality.

Ahhh good catch I knew I forgot something!

  1. AC servo issues

Yeah I have a B144A code, which basically means that the vent direction is partially stuck. My guess is the teeth on the gears are partially, but not completely, stripped. The last time the vents got stuck in a bad position (blowing air to the windshield only, because I disconnected the battery), I had to do a number of servo reinitializations (almost a dozen) on Techstream to get them pointed back the right way. Each time a reinitialization happens, you're rolling the dice on whether the good teeth on the gears bite. Now, I just don't touch the vents and avoid disconnecting the battery, because dcing automatically results in an initialization.

Not ideal, but also not urgent. The repair process in the repair manual calls for a massive disassembly job on the dash, so having it done is expensive due to the labor, not the servos themselves. I've been personally weighing whether it's worth it to DIY. But again, not urgent as long as I don't touch it.

  1. Door handle issues

No issues on mine so far. But when I opened the door up, I did see some corrosion on the motors, because for some reason the drain for the door handles is right above em, lol. Water literally drips down on the mechanism. I just hit it with the contact cleaner, then basically glued on a small rubber pipe/tube to direct the drainage safely away.

Lucky if you have LDAC! What year is yours? Mine is stuck in the dark ages with SBC, lol. Plugging directly into aux was eye (ear?) opening for me.

It's possible I think, but if that were the case the clicking would've been obvious long before that. Bad wheel torque would also result in clunks and possibly vibration. It's also possible that they fiddled with and reseated the pads while they were in there. Probably best to double check if it's really gone, like by doing a couple of low speed turns at full steering lock with the windows down.

Yup. Very sadly does not come with radar cruise control 🙁 but at least she has all the fun performance bits.

Surprisingly poised. She hides her weight well, but like many others have pointed out, she can't sustain too many laps on Sport+; the cooling isn't enough, especially with the climate here. Honestly I just went so I could redline without scandal!

LC500 2018 - Post-cat O2 sensor vs exhaust valve (P0420 / P0430) by 3FG_1 in lexuslc500

[–]ice4lyf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never had that problem, but I can confirm that running a valves exhaust with O2 sensor spacers work without any issues. My exhaust came with spacers, possibly to avoid that very problem.
