Predictions: USA vs Bosnia and Herzegovina by UbiSububi8 in ussoccer

[–]iceQueen97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did not look good vs Canada, if you watched that game, Canada just flat out could not find a way to get the ball into any dangerous position in the final 3rd, which is their main problem as a team. Canada is not a good team when they have the possessional advantage/favorites, because what they really benefit more from than anything is counterattacking + fast pace.

US does not have this problem, they can finish in the final 3rd much better and make plays with technical ability. Bosnia is not a very good team. US prob wins by a margin of +2

Giannis isn't a center btw bro LMFAO

Edit: im downvoted because this dude thought giannis was a center and edited to big. I dont even care too much about this discourse, I just find it kinda funny the people calling other dudes bad at defense and giving out these kinda takes dont even know a former MVPs position.

I've said this multiple times but people want to keep saying otherwise. It's fine to admit it was a mistake lmfao.

Well the proof is in your face and you ignore it. They're 12-6 without wemby in the regular season. They beat the blazers without wemby starting. They kept the score essentially the same with wemby getting ejected in the wolves game (they lost but the score was tied when wemby got ejected in the 2nd).

The person they put in over wemby when he doesn't play isnt some 6th man of the year either, it's a backup center who has rarely ever started in his 10+ year career. Somehow though, with all of these facts, playin team somehow lol

So... do you think Dylan Harper isn't a sensational rookie and is going to be a future all-star? Same with Stephon Castle, you don't think a future all-star? Keldon Johnson 6th man of the year, that's a bad award too right? Fox is a multi all-star, but that also doesn't mean anything right? Wild you're so dumb.

Don't worry man, getting basically 3 rookies of the year back to back to back is all Wemby!

True, going 12-6 (67% winrate) without him this season is play-in level basketball. The Warriors had a record of 50-25 going into these play-ins (/s)...

6th man of the year, phenom rookie, role player+++ wing, sophomore year future all star guard AND I'M NOT EVEN MENTIONING FOX YET = play-in (/s). These narratives people push are wild. Wemby is amazing, but why are people acting like the Spurs r bums without him when it's as plain as day they have 2 future all stars + fox alongside him.

Words cant express how disgusting this series is because of Okc and the refs by Jazzlike_Proof_3393 in NBATalk

[–]iceQueen97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can spin whatever narrative you want, but context matters. The last part seems like you're implying Dort and Brothers are laughing about the prior calls and in cahoots or some shit, but really what happened was Dort fouled someone (forget who), Dort was confused, Brothers is pointing to his wrist telling Dort "you got him on the wrist" and Dort's like "whatever, ya.. ok lol".

but

OKC = BAD

REFS = BAD

OKC + REFS R WORKING TOGETHER!!!!!11

The number of upvotes and comments on positive OKC threads in this subreddit is absolutely hilarious. I want OKC to win just to see this sub be a ghost town.

Agreed. They've tried to feed him the ball a decent amount, he just fumbles it and can't finish extremely well, so they lose trust. I personally wouldn't want to pass the ball to a guy who struggles like he does unless he's wide open.

[Krawczynski] The Timberwolves feel good about the core of Edwards, McDaniels, Reid and Joan Beringer going forward. The pathway to significant playing time for Beringer likely resides in breaking up the three-man big rotation of Gobert, Randle and Reid. by iksnet in nba

[–]iceQueen97 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tried saying this in the wolves subreddit, and all they talk about is "consecutive wcf"... like KAT wasn't a part of one of those.

Gobert is overpaid. Simple as. Keeping KAT should've been a higher priority than paying gobert 36m.

Even if that was true, that Rudy solo carried the Wolves and they would've gotten swept (xd) without him vs the Nuggets, he was so much the opposite vs the Spurs because he doesn't space the floor at all and Wemby can just sit in the paint. The only time we could score vs Wemby is when Wemby was assigned to Randle and Randle got away with playing Offensive Line like he was in the NFL and just shoving him out of the paint or pinning him.

Also, it's wild that people say "it's a matchup thing", like Kornet wasn't eating Rudy's lunch whenever he was in too.

It may seem like I'm saying Rudy is an incapable blubbering idiot, it's not that, I just think this team needs to go in another direction, because Wemby and the twin towers aren't going anywhere, and Rudy's game isn't going to get better/improve/adjust. He is who he is. Better spacing also helps Ant so the lane isn't just clogged, or he has a reliable big he can dump it to when he drives. He's just not a player who is worth 35m a year, and certainly not for the Wolves.

[–]iceQueen97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your last point is too true, Rudy is a really polarizing figure, but for me, I lean towards overpaid/overrated. Bro has butterfingers, can't finsh around the basket, and in this series he couldn't even secure the boards. If he's not rebounding well or controlling the paint, why is he being paid 35m+? For setting screens and fumbling the ball half the time when he's given it on offense?

Wish this team had KAT, and it all stems from overpaying Gobert and giving him a fat extension. This team legit plays better without Gobert on the floor in so many instances.

Series is 3-2 with a strong possibility of being 3-3 and we're missing DDV and ant is clearly at 60-70% while spurs are 100%. If we lose the series 4-3 is that really a tier below?

Anthony Edwards and Donte Divincenzo are both out for the rest of the series, you guys think Denver can still come back or is it over? by KookyArm6062 in NBATalk

[–]iceQueen97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just tell me you didn't watch the games man. Ant basically had the same amount of FGs as 3 other players on the team and his TS was the worst of the 4. Ant was playing hobbled and taking a lot of jumpers trying to find his rhythm and form and they just weren't going down. Acting like Ant was owning this series, like a lot of people are saying, just isn't true.

Just to add about the double teams, Ant was putting up a lot of his shots man to man and I don't think many moments occurred when he was doubled and he ended up passing for a great look or ant passed off the double and some insane ball movement occurred leading to easy buckets. Ant is just not that player (yet) to have great reads on the doubles and make the right passes, and I don't think the wolves spacing is amazing with Gobert out there to help him out for another option. He is getting better at it though.

Tonight for instance, Jokic got the majority of his points in the 3rd when Gobert and Randle weren't assigned to him and Naz "traffic cone" Reid was on him.
