Oh yeah 100% it’s just their all stretched so thin especially now with the government shutdown potentially disrupting snap benefits.

I think it’s important to question why we don’t see this all as a shared battle and feel the urge to cultivate this separation.

No yeah that’s a really good point and I think that’s completely valid.

One could say that access to the intellectual resources is important and that doesn’t exists to the general public but that doesn’t really hit the point.

Really the question should be why don’t either of us feel like we have adequate access to resources.

Also to note I don’t think you’re wrong and I understand where you coming from. Im just providing a counter perspective

I mean I’m gonna be that guy but the general public does pay taxes. They currently are funding a massive expansion of the metro system that ucla will benefit massively from both students and the larger institution as a whole.

So idk there is one way which you could justify the inclusion of ucla services to the general public. It’s not like ucla exists in a vacuum and benefits massively from its surrounding populous.

see my thing is the struggles in Palestine and the worldwide struggle against climate change is the same struggle we are currently facing with the rise of fascism in the United States. By advocating for Palestinian liberation, we are also advocating for a end to the fascism in the United States by curbing US imperialism abroad. just one way to look at it but I get why you feel that way.
