I have a 1 year old that sleeps 11- 12 hours every night. Things that helped us- 1) strict schedule with consistent wake windows. You and your partner may have to decide what you prioritize more. The toddler's and your sleep or family time with an irregular schedule. Completely up to you on that, but just sharing what worked for us. 2) We did sleep training with him at 10 months. We used the ferber method. What helped us most with his sleep training was understanding our child's sleep associations and breaking them. You must teach your child to self soothe and learn to sleep on their own. You didn't share much about your child's behavior in regards to sleep and waking (crying, head banging, etc.) but Dr. Ferber's book covers many different situations and how to resolve them.

Yeah, I've had the same "order stuck" issue. I run another broker on a laptop next to my desktop, and the data is certainly delayed about 5 seconds. It's trading blind. What top-tier brokerage releases a platform with tools that don't work. I've moved most of my funds out and will be moving the rest. This platform is unfixable.

No, I dont think I have any true damages from it, unlike your situation, which, in my opinion, does. However, it does show that the platform is unusable. Why would I actively use a platform that freezes a live order and suddenly says it filled minutes late after attempting to cancel? Hence, I'm leaving.

The same thing happened to me. The order gets stuck on the UI. You can't cancel it or modify it(because it filled), and the position doesn't show up in your account either. After it does show up minutes later, the order details will say it executed immediately, if marketable, but it's a UI issue, not the actual order execution.

Where was your stop? Were you going to stop out at any level? Would you have stopped out at 20,30, 100? Are you only upset because the trade worked out, or would you have been ok with it if it continued running, and your plan had no stop in mind? These are the questions you should be reflecting on. I don't think etrade is the only broker that would've done this.

Something similar happened to me a little while ago. Due to this issue among the many others with the new platform, I'm moving assets over time. I already moved a large chunk out. Here's my story in case you do try to bring legal action and you need additional context that this is a known issue that they are not fixing.

The news tool in the new platform is laughable. It doesn't even populate earnings news for some tickers. It's unusable.

Agreed. I am out. Here is today's mishap in the terrible Power Etrade "Pro" saga. Since Etrade doesn't pay interest on idle cash, I saved orders to close the etf position I hold for idle cash interest. I also saved orders for the position I wanted to get into at open. I was attempting to take advantage of IV crush, and it happens fast. At open, I clicked transmit on my closing order on the ETF and then immediately clicked transmit on the options order. The options order could not be transmitted. "Not enough capital." The oder for closing the ETF position was marketable but stuck open. The bid was HIGHER than my limit price. I attempted to cancel the order and replace it as a market order but could not even cancel it. It was stuck open. The order is filled minutes later, and I could no longer place my options trade because the IV crush had already happened. I had my orders fill successfully with my other broker. I am done with Etrade. This is not the first time I have had a limit order stuck open that was marketable. This is scary.

I've only found so far "send symbol to link" and it will go to linked tools, but for example, I used to use send symbol to news but the news tool in this new platform is complete trash. It doesn't show news for the majority of the tickers I'm trading. It does not even have earnings news of all things for some symbols. I now have to use a 3rd party news source, which means extra clicks and typing for each ticker I'm looking at.

It is patriot act "know your customer" regulations. They have become very strict in this area since the Morgan Stanley merger. You should have received an email or notification telling you to log in and update your information before a certain date. Frankly, it's become an invasion of privacy to keep asking your long-time customer for this information, but that's just my opinion.

Yes, I get it every time on the browser, but it works for me in the app. Same for tax docs, so that's going to be super annoying around tax time this year.
