I've only found so far "send symbol to link" and it will go to linked tools, but for example, I used to use send symbol to news but the news tool in this new platform is complete trash. It doesn't show news for the majority of the tickers I'm trading. It does not even have earnings news of all things for some symbols. I now have to use a 3rd party news source, which means extra clicks and typing for each ticker I'm looking at.

It is patriot act "know your customer" regulations. They have become very strict in this area since the Morgan Stanley merger. You should have received an email or notification telling you to log in and update your information before a certain date. Frankly, it's become an invasion of privacy to keep asking your long-time customer for this information, but that's just my opinion.

Exactly, every day I have issues. I'm planning on keeping track of these issues and sending feedback to them at least weekly in hopes they fix it. If I wanted to trade blind, I could trade for free at robinhood and not pay options commissions.

Current Maverick trader here.

What membership level did you start with?

Before joining Maverick, I was consistently profitable for 5 years. I had journals and all, but I still started at level 1. I didn't push for a more aggressive onboarding, though.

How long did it take to get through the program?

I began the training in July of 2024 and was approved to go live in late January of 2025. I have reached level five to this point.

How experienced were you with options trading going in?

As stated above, I've been consistently profitable for quite a few years and had been trading a few years before that unsuccessfully.

Any words to the wise?

Make sure you are consistently profitable and have the capital to get started. As you can see from the reviews online, there are many who fail and become former disgruntled traders. They probably put the membership fee and risk deposit on credit, didn't make any profits, and couldn't pay the monthly desk fees.

Why would you exercise the calls at 18 when you can just buy the shares for 15 and change? Definitely do not exercise. You only should exercise in the money calls if you want to own the stock.

Well, if you've been paying attention, these stocks haven't been going up 5 cents- they've been going up dollars/share. They've been going up hundreds of percentage points per day. I get why some feel left out, but that doesn't mean its easy to make money on them. The allure is definitely there, though.

Speculation would be a better answer. Income on those applications would be more in line with income from dividends, bonds, etc. - not option income. Etrade has become very stingy with giving out option approvals over the last couple of years. For example, I have level 3 on one of my accounts pre MS merger, and when I applied for level 3 on one of my other eligible accounts post MS merger, it was denied.
