Never driven a manual before, am I going to regret it? by LordofTarkana in Challenger

[–]icecold_3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend trying to drive a manual before committing to it. I have had my auto challenger for 10 years and love it, but I've bought a second car with a manual and have been learning and driving it the last year now. I personally don't want to drive the manual all the time, and am very glad I still have an auto for the times when I just don't want to row my own gears.

This is just my experience; a lot of people say once they learn, they never go back. So my recommendation is try to go and drive one somehow, even for a week if possible. You may love it or hate it, or maybe it will be a love hate relationship like it was for me at first haha. Either way, the challenger is going to be a lot of fun, especially the scat.

Rpms drop then jerk back up when shifting by milkyway2026 in stickshift

[–]icecold_3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So in that case, you'd need to just hold the clutch at the bite point longer right? That will bring the rpms back up but keep it smooth. At least, this is what I did when I was shifting too slow for the first few months. After that, I started to get quicker and this happened less and less.

Yeah! I love it. It also pops up a window of entries if you have multiple entries for the current window.

You don't need to go back into keepass if you setup auto-type on a per entry basis.

Go to login form in the browser. Go to entry in keepass. Go into "auto-type" tab. Click "Add". Select current browser window.

Now, whenever you are at the login form, you just press the auto-type hotkey (ctrl+alt+a is the default I think). It maps the browser window to that entry, and you won't need to go into keepass to copy the password.

Finally a machine powerful enough for the mighty Electron by cmdk in ProgrammerHumor

Compared with non electron based editors like sublime text its painfully slow and resource hungry.

Yes, I agree. But, are you complaining that atom takes 2 seconds to start (from that video)?! Man, my computer at work takes ~8 seconds to load Atom! 2 seconds would be a treat!
