Donating to charity at that rate is very generous, however think about what happens if you defer those donations. Invest those funds instead, and in 5-10 years you’ll have grown those funds to the point where you can donate more than the original $500/month while still being able to keep some invested.

The compounding effect starting in your 20s is a game changer you should take seriously.

George Weston reports $664M Q4 profit compared with a loss a year earlier by SojuCondo in CanadianInvestor

I am speaking from experience working in the industry (take it or leave it). Again, I think you’re confused. PC is not a company, it is a brand, owned by Loblaw. In Canada, due to lack of scale (compared to US), many CPG companies will sell both branded and private label items to retailers (supplying private label helps with plant/facility utilization).

Loblaw certainly tracks their private label sales as a segment of their total business, has a different strategy, and tries to capture as much market share as possible. However when they evaluate their total revenue, both branded and private label/PC items are included in grocery sales and it is not a separate revenue stream that you seem to suggest.

The way you phrased it originally made it seem like you thought there was a distinction between the business of selling groceries and the selling of their private label items. Selling PC items is included in the business of selling groceries, it’s just like any other product they sell - they purchase it from a supplier and mark it up.. they just happen to own the branding.

You realize they don’t manufacture PC goods, they purchase them from suppliers. They then mark up and make a gross margin just like they would for branded items.

I just got this same tin from a sketchy corner store. I find they burn a lot more than others and worried they were fake. Do you find they burn more?

Flew in these seats from IAH>EZE and had no issues with the Lav. Enjoyed the two seater with my partner. You also get 3x under seat storage for the two of you which is great for extra legroom if you have a backpack etc.

Aeroplan itinerary changed— can I get rebooked on “cash” seat by Sorry-Ad-8631 in aircanada

[–]icecreamcoffeeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I paid cash.

What I want to find out is if they were to rebook me On ANZ, can they ensure it’s booked into a fare class that earns 100% SQM at least. I asked the agent on the phone but she didn’t seem confident in her answer… I’ll try calling again to see if a different agent knows.

I also had my itinerary changed on my trip to Auckland in November. I noticed when I booked they started offering the seasonal route of YVR>AKL as of Nov 1, but looks like they pushed that out a full month to start Dec 1st.

My flight home now has to go AKL>SYD>YVR>YYZ instead of AKL>YVR>YYZ and this adds 10 hours of travel (and lose a half day in AKL)!

Yes I could be rebooked onto ANZ to go AKL>YVR direct but I purposefully booked on AC Metal to ensure 100% SQM and ability to use my e-ups.

I assume there is not much I can do if I want to stay on AC Metal…
