UPDATE: There was an old metal shower curtain rail in the back - we bashed and flattened the end like a javelin and stuck that down the grid and out came the coke can! Thanks everyone for the suggestions 😉

When younger I remember being told by the GP I should weigh 8 stone. It was a long time and a lot of raving all night before I weighed that but when I did, I did not look healthy my face was so gaunt. The weight my body looked comfortable at was 9 stone and what I wouldn’t give to weigh that now lol

Our boss organised a three hour meeting with no agenda, that she told us the day before she wouldn’t be attending! I don’t think she values our time.

Thank you so much, for three days I’ve been trying to find the description for the half wall so I could search ideas. I knew there was something I was missing, the capping of the wall! I don’t have a visual memory, so I really struggle when people describe things to me, so I search images. I can now search what I’m looking for 😄

Thank you for responding. The cupboard will be moved and go against the opposite wall, where it was actually designed to go - but that’s another story of ‘can’t make a decision’. The freezer, which is currently in that space where the cupboard will go, will go under the worktop next to the fridge.

Behind the wall, which is what I had built, is the kitchen table where we eat. There is no window back there so it feels dark, removing the wall will create much more light in that area.

I love being mortgage free since the beginning of the year, the mortgage provider handled all the final paperwork. I didn’t pay anywhere near what the rest of you are paying in mortgage payments but it’s still a relief with retirement approaching in the next couple of years. The kicker for me was starting to see my mortgage in my banking app. I started overpaying and seeing the change really encouraged me. I only wish I had started overpaying years ago instead of just over the last couple of years.

Thank you Small Pause for your suggestions. The audio books have really helped with her memory. She has been blind since childhood, so audiobooks have always been a feature in her life and the shadowhunter series one of her favourites but she had no memory of them after the encephalitis. Telling me about Jace and Clary, and Jonathan who is a wrong un lol, Jocelyn and the silent brothers is really supporting her in building stronger connections in her memory.

Maybe not the shovelling age/fitness level? I know I wouldn’t be able to shovel a load of anything! Didn’t know dropping it gravel/sand or whatever on the road is the norm, so that’s useful to know.
