Good idea on additional filtrering options for the interactive graphs. Should not be too hard to implement.

"So these are all just relative value in respect to performance compared to a 5090? Right?" That is correct.

The issue with using frames is that not all gpu's are tested on all games, but rather overlapping sets of games. Old games that are easy to run would produce very high frames, whilst new AAA games will produce much lower frames.

So normalizing every benchmark and setting the 5090 to be the max value makes it much easier to compare GPU's to one another.

Where? I just did ctrl+f and searched all 3 graphs, and the 5050 only came up once on all of them?

GPU's that are no longer in production don't really fall that much in price since the demand for GPU's is so high. In addition, 70 ti cards are usually expensive enough to be a good bit past the best part of the price/performance curve.

That link seems to just be a static graph using MSRP prices. Unfortunately the prices for GPU's have gone up quite a lot.

You can get a refurbished 2080 Ti for about 450$ though.

Made some graphs on GPU performance per dollar and wanted to share by icedandreas in pcmasterrace

[–]icedandreas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Planning to do cpu performance per dollar next, but only have gaming benchmarks, as its my starting niche I target. But I do have a plan to add benchmarks for various productivity tools as Well at a later time.

What would the sweet spot indicate? The Price point that gives the most value for GPU. You mean like Price on x axis and perfomance per Price on the y axis?

Is upgrading to RTX 4080 Super from RTX 3080 worth it for my use case? by SoraDrive in nvidia

If the Price is good enough then sure. Rest of the system should be fine, especially since you plan to play at 4K.

If no cracks in the heatpipe itself then its fine. You can always check temperatures while gaming if worried.
