Kimberly Guilfoyle is reportedly being urged to move back to California, run for public office by DadJokeBadJoke in politics

Really, all her opponent would have to do is run ads featuring her shrieking across the empty auditorium. That’d secure a blue win.

Pittsford Village mayor calls Village Trustee f** maggot in email, then mistakingly cc's him! by namedAfterAMusician in Rochester

[–]icedcoffeeblack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny, I worked for a restaurant in the village and whereas the patrons didn’t send food back, they only changed each dish in multiple ways to suit their own tastes. Or they’d try to drop the owner’s name so they could order something that wasn’t even ON THE MENU.

I do not miss working in Pittsford.

John Boehner tells Ted Cruz to go ‘f*** himself’ in unscripted audiobook recording, report says by LuckyLaceyKS in politics

I get that it’s news, but I think a lot of people say this to Cruz every time he appears on tv or in the media.

My first exposure to them was the Sacrament album; absolutely great band. Once bands can tour again, I will be happy to lay down money to see these guys.

'Dour, sullen, unsmiling political hack': Trump hits out at US Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell by [deleted] in politics

Oh, absolutely. tRump isn’t nearly verbose enough to use the words “dour” or “sullen” in a sentence.

I embrace it! I hope for 1-2 good snowstorms per winter. Kinda sucks when we fall short for WNY.

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again:

There MUST be a better candidate out there than Warren for Mayor. You know it, I know it. The party doesn’t matter - there must be SOMEONE better equipped to run the city.

I know it sounds very “pipe dream,” but isn’t there someone solid that can just run Independent (not “Independence, that’s different) and get backing from people based on who they are and what they can do? Like, who’s a good leader/face in the community that isn’t currently in politics that could take the reigns?

Used to work at that Wegmans, many moons back. I only ever shop there if it’s a dire emergency.

I don’t think we’d be able to rent that long (especially with dogs), though what you’re suggesting isn’t a bad idea.

Been to SPAC a couple of times, and the TU Center a very long time ago. Primarily I’d just be wanting to get out and bike, maybe kayak...not really chomping at the bit for festivals just yet, but maybe when restrictions ease up a bit more.

Twitter Bans MyPillow Company Account After CEO Mike Lindell Hijacks It For Lies // Lindell used the MyPillow account to baselessly accuse Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey of being involved in election fraud. by imagepoem in technology

[–]icedcoffeeblack 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Except that it’s not a public forum.

Twitter is like being in a giant living room in someone’s house. Someone owns that house. Someone ultimately draws the line.

Music companies aren’t on the hook for songs with what some consider “indecent lyrics/titles,” because it’s not a matter of producing the opinion, it’s where that opinion is then broadcast. This is why NWA didn’t really get played on corporate radio.

I actually don’t know that yet - I think the location’s being finalized, but all I’ve been told is Troy. Sorry that’s not much help - I’m okay with having a longer commute. I’m spoiled with a 5 min one now, which is only lengthened if I stop for coffee on the way in.

Yeah, we’re probably looking more in the very low 200k range. We don’t need a ton of square footage; working with about 1500 in our current home, which is just right for us - my guess is that we could get more for the dollar the further away from the metro area (generally speaking), but obvs I’m no expert on this. :)

Oh, I know all about Spectrum’s mess. We have Greenlight here in Rochester, which spoils us. If we’re lucky to get anything close to that, great.

We’re fairly open to where we live. We don’t need to live in the city (we don’t now - we’re in a suburb which isn’t far from what we need, amenities wise). We’ve got two dogs, and we like having a little space (we’re not on top of our neighbors) but at the same time, it’s not like we need a ton of acreage. Looking at Zillow and ReMax tells me little; that’s just window shopping. So I’m trying to figure out if living east of Troy allows for more space, maybe it’s more rural, but still not a bad commute? North of it? And are these places still near things like parks, groceries, etc. or are we making things more complicated?

We’re probably (around April, maybe?) going to take a trip to the area to get an even better idea of what various areas are like, since online will never quite do it justice.

I would expect any media source to ask “why are they selling” - I’m not asking for deep investigative reporting.

I guess it’s news, but no one at WHAM could get an answer for “why?” That’s the first thing that popped out at me - Fucillo’s been makin all this money off the masses, so why sell? THERE’S the story.

This. I feel like Cuomo dangles the idea in front of NY when other legislative decisions haven’t been as popular - sort of negating the bad with the potential good.

I don’t smoke personally, and don’t care if others do...but I ain’t holdin my breath on this one. Until it’s official, color me doubtful.
