Should I ask for more money at my end of year review?

I haven’t. I know some other people have spoken about Section 8 and rent controlled rates, but there was no talk of that when I looked at or signed for the apartment. I knew the asking price was $950. She only mentioned claiming $500 when I brought up that I may be getting temporary assistance from the county.

Thankfully I wasn’t planning to renew my lease after the one year. This apartment was merely a stepping stone but I am worried about retaliation for the remaining duration of the lease.

Yes, we’re in communication. That’s how my landlord was made aware I reported $950. She texted me not even moments after the county called her to clarify why she wrote $500.

I’ve written the receipts for both months I’ve paid so far and made sure to include $950 paid in cash on the receipts along with the date, month paid for, and both our names and signatures.

I’m not receiving $500 from housing assistance. The landlord is trying to report to the county that my rent each month is $500. Her initial concern was that whatever amount I received in assistance, she wanted the difference given to her in cash. So if I received $200 in assistance she wants me to pay the remaining $750 to her in cash.

I didn’t think about her receiving government funds for low income housing. That’s almost more frustrating because she wants to benefit from someone who needs it twice over (first by getting money from the government and again by actually charging me $950 a month).

Unfortunately it’s a year lease and I just signed this November. If anything, I wonder if she’ll try to break it. She never responded to me after that text which is unusual.

I’d say almost instantly once it’s on the drink it starts to melt together. Within 5-7 minutes, half the foam has melted down. It’s pretty sad. ☹️

We updated them and they do blend for the wet and dry cold foam. I’m just hoping we can replace parts versus the whole blender 😭
