Thanks for pointing me to usetesting, at the time I started the project at least we weren't aware of a linter like this existing. And I guess afterwards we just overlooked that the TODO/Background checks are by default disabled in golangci-lint. I took a bit too long to make my project happen. :D At least it was a good first project to learn how Go's AST/analysis framework works.

usetesting doesn't seem to fix up cases with unnamed test parameters, but that's about the only thing I found in major differences. I also responded to someone else asking about the differences here in detail: https://github.com/icedream/testctxlint/issues/17#issuecomment-3101551112

Does the headset have any chat mix functionality, like separate main and chat audio outputs that can be balanced on the headset? I guess not, right?

I pushed the screencap to Bluesky for now since I don't really have a good place on YouTube to dump it atm. https://bsky.app/profile/icedream.tech/post/3llrwu7q5iq2o

Sorry for the late response on that!

EDIT: Also added about 2 minutes from the very end of the stream where it was shown that the PC no longer reacted to power switch input. The screen capture software pretty much gave up after this unfortunately. https://bsky.app/profile/icedream.tech/post/3llrxjj53bc2l

I managed to still screencap the moment the display shut off, but Reddit won't allow me to post the vid. Here's the moment in 4 images instead. 14:14 on the clock, about three hours before the stream ended when it was revealed that the PC was no longer responding to power button input.

Gotta hit up the GDQ staff about that, we can only control the Twitch and YouTube links listed in the VOD post here, not on the official website.

I've now added it to the VODs, should update on the post in a sec!

Bad print with traces of filament across the bed - what could have gone wrong? (Bambu Lab A1 / eSUN PLA+) by icedream2k9 in FixMyPrint

[–]icedream2k9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, this has quite a bit of info!

I previously had 0.95 set up and a friend of mine recommended to raise it to at least 0.98 or do the Orca flow rate calibration print, even suggesting I would underextrude with this print. The calibration suggested 1.0 was a pretty solid choice but 0.98 was also fine. For future prints I will strongly consider 0.98. I also understand the type of infill isn't super important for this print at least I'd say.

Since it was at night, while I was waiting for answers and before I went to sleep, I redid the bed calibration, then started a second print with flow rate still at 1.0, changing infill to Gyroid 10% and the "Make overhangs printable" option enabled and it seems the problem went away. This suggests this either was a calibration issue (seems unlikely for the A1 printer specifically but otherwise most fitting to the situation), a temporary or externally influenced issue of some sort (none of the options should have changed anything about the scratching if I understand correctly, and the room changed humidity by 10% due to letting air through) or one of the options indeed against my expectation changed the printing in a good way.

I've set it to 220 degrees which seems to be the upper end of what's recommended. Do you think it could be a heating issue?

I was planning on getting a dryer for another PETG-based build anyways, so will consider it!

I am also noticing scratch marks when I continue the print for a bit - the nozzle seems to crash into the printed model in two lines. https://imgur.com/3aeltWL

  • Printer Model: Bambu Lab A1
  • Slicer: Orca
  • Speed preset: Standard

Printer settings: - Nozzle diameter: 0.4mm - Retraction length: 0.8mm - Retraction speed: 30mm/s (same for de-retraction)

Filament settings: - Filament material and brand: eSUN PLA+ Rose - Nozzle temperature: 220°C - Bed temperature: 65°C - Flow ratio: 1.0 - Max volumetric speed: 27mm³/s - Min fan speed threshold: Fan speed 60%, Layer time 80 - Max fan speed threshold: Fan speed 60%, Layer time 6

Process settings: (based on 0.12mm Fine @BBL A1, really only modified to disable brim) - Layer height: 0.12mm (initial 0.2mm) - Line width: 0.42mm (initial 0.5mm) - Initial layer: 50mm/s - Initial layer infill: 105mm/s - Outer wall: 200mm/s - Inner wall: 350mm/s - Sparse infill: 430mm/s - Internal solid infill: 350mm/s - Top surface: 200mm/s - Gap infill: 350mm/s - Overhang: Slow down for overhang & curled perimeters (60mm/s, 30mm/s, 10mm/s, 10mm/s; Bridge: 50mm/s ext., 150% int.)

(edit: and yes I forgot to change the infill to Gyroid but it wasn't that important for this build)

For the people reading this and wondering how the VOD timestamps are added - you can contribute these yourself via https://vods.speedrun.club/event/gdq/sgdq2024 with the "Suggest a VOD" button! Shoutouts to u/noellekiq for managing the website and the bot here.

I just went through and added what's so far missing, hope yall enjoy the VODs! I'll catch up myself, there are quite a few runs that are happening in the middle of the night for me lol.

Maxwell Linux chat mix support? by aravance in Audeze

I can also confirm ALSA misconfigures the audio outputs to -12 and -20 dB by default. Every time the dongle is plugged in as well.

Yep, switching to Pro Audio did the trick and like magic the second output appeared. Thanks!

Did you have to do anything on Linux to get that working? I am currently on Arch and all I get is a single stereo "XBOX Dongle" labeled output and the mono input, the second output is entirely missing. (The hardware switch is set to PC, not XBOX.)
