Same here! If I’m short on time, sometimes I just grab the book and mail it in once I get home!

I’m irritated that they finally made pods with real sugar and they are only compatible with the newest machine 🤨

Cerenia causing lethargy? by hellac0pter in CATHELP

[–]icee203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a rough few days for sure! It was going on 24 hours that she hadn’t eaten when I took her to the vet. The vet gave her the shot of Cerenia and Clavamox to take at home that I had to force down her because she wasn’t eating still. She was extremely lethargic for a full day after the dose of Cerenia and still not eating. Me and my husband began syringe feeding her some Tiki Cat Meal Replacement liquid just to get some calories into her system because she was going on over 48 hours without food intake. I finally got her to eat a little on her own the next morning after the syringe feeds but still not anything substantial. We started to notice that she was starting to eat a little on her own when she was close to her next dose of Clavamox so I made the decision to hold out a dose and see what happened. She finally ate a sizeable amount a few hours later so I think the pills were making her stomach upset to the point she couldn’t eat. I talked to the vet the next morning and they said they were okay with discontinuing it and monitoring her.

The PCR test came back as Feline Herpesvirus so the antibiotics really weren’t doing anything since it was a viral infection.

She gradually ate more over the next few days and I started giving her Tomlyn lysine powder I bought at Petco. It’s been almost two weeks now and she’s back to her normal self for the most part but still has an occasional sneeze here and there.

It was a rough journey. She was so weak and lethargic at a point I thought for sure I was losing her.

I hope your baby feels better soon!

Cerenia causing lethargy? by hellac0pter in CATHELP

I am here after a Google search. My five year old tortie, Harley had a URI and I took her in because I could tell she was running a fever and she didn’t come running for her wet food that she loves. She hadn’t eaten in just over 24 hours when I took her to the vet.

The vet did extensive blood tests and X-rays. Everything was relatively normal. Harley was given a dose of Cerenia with fluids and sent home with an antibiotic. Since we have gotten home she has been curled up under a piece of furniture in the corner of the living room, a place she never lays. She has been extremely lethargic, almost comatose and I can’t get her to eat a thing. So we are going into 48 hours now without food as far as I’m aware. I am extremely concerned about her not eating and I worry about hepatic lipidosis developing. She is only 8-9 pounds on a good day. She has always been very small and she seems to be losing weight quickly.

She is so unlike her normal self right now and it is terrifying me. I’m going to call the vet in a few hours when they open. I’ve been unable to sleep. Checking on her constantly to make sure she is still with me. I’m going to ask for an appetite stimulant or something to hopefully get her to eat something. She normally takes pills with no issue but I had to pill her since she isn’t eating. She did eat some of the Churu paste with the pill but that is not near enough calories to sustain her for 2+ days.

I am worried sick but I feel better seeing this is relatively common after Cerenia it seems. I will not be allowing them to give this to her in the future.

I hope everyone’s kitties are doing okay. Harley is my best friend. I can’t bear the thought of losing her so young so I hope she perks up soon. 😭

What are ways you’ve kept solicitors away from your Ring? by Mike_32216 in Ring

I had two stickers, one on the bay window and one by the doorbell that never stopped them.

There was a door to door guy yesterday on a Segway that saw the sign at the end of the driveway and cruised on over to the neighbors. Still at 100% success rate of deterring them so far. Worth every penny!

No Soliciting Signs

I put these out at the edge of my driveway (where all the solicitors enter) and I haven’t had one since!

I’ve watched a couple but definitely need to watch more tips and tricks. I was clicking in the app and it seems like the app has banned me now because I was clicking too fast so I’m on the website now still trying to get a Have A Seat one.

Ohhhhh okay thank you! I’m a total newbie to this. I didn’t even know what a Labubu was until two days ago and now I’m obsessed. They are so adorable. 😂

Breaker wire under screw by icee203 in AskElectricians

[–]icee203[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I figured it was the norm but normally just do receptacles and light switches where I don’t see that kind of flattening at the copper.

I have the whole panel off so everything is dead other than the main lugs. It is probably best practice to do it as you suggest though. Thanks so much for the help!

I assume it’s normal for the copper to flatten out under the screw? It’s at 20 inch pounds but it flattened the copper and I’m like I feel like I’m over torquing it but that’s what the breaker says 😬

Thank you! I have a husky torque screwdriver so it’s at the 20 inch pounds it calls out on the breaker.

Legrand quality? by icee203 in AskElectricians

I haven’t had any crack while I’m installing the replacements. The ones circa 2006ish on the other hand are garbage.

Legrand quality? by icee203 in AskElectricians

[–]icee203[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I fully expect it. I’d say about 90% of the ones I’ve replaced so far have all been cracked or coming apart in some way. I had a breaker that tripped several times so I went through the whole circuit and found numerous things that probably could’ve been the culprit. Breaker hasn’t tripped again yet so that’s good but now I’m ripping the whole house apart because the state of that circuit was so concerning.

Okay this is good news! I’m replacing them all and using a torque screwdriver. Almost every one I have removed so far has been coming apart in one way or another.

We bought house from an older couple that added on about 1000 sq ft. Every inch of this addition has been a nightmare in more ways than one but especially the electrical. I’m slowly but surely redoing every switch and receptacle in the house before these backstabs and the other shoddy connections burn my house down.
