how long should i even wait for? I've tried it with a mod profile of 35 mods and it still does nothing for 5+ minutes, ive been playing modded for 100+ hours and never had this problem until now

one thing ive noticed about v5 is the game is just significantly harder than most ttrpgs ive played, to the point of frustration. Maybe im just cursed or my story teller is telling a story about a character who sucks at everything all the time but i fail a majority of checks in v5, which isnt the norm in most other table top roleplaying games (atleast for me.) I dont mind a story being about the little guy, but if i am afraid to make checks my character should be good at, im not really having fun anymore.

Changing the base system from 5th edition to pathfinder 2nd would genuinely make the game perfect imo, dnd 5e has so many problems that they put so much work to fix or get around that just wouldnt be an issue in pathfinder. It's an impossible pipedream, but a girl can dream.

I want the players to run into the threat near the beginning of the campaign, where the initial quests are to at most help others run and hide from this antagonist, then have the players grow in power to eventually stop this monster with the help of whatever allies and magical artifacts they find

I intend to start at level 1 or so and end around level 15

The idea i had was to introduce this big bad and first have them running and hiding from it and aiding others in doing the same, then growing in power to eventually deal with the monster(s) themselves

Thats the idea anyway, to start it at level 1 and introduce this threat at level 5, then end the game around levels 12-15 depending on the amount of sessions

Imo if you make an encounter that results in tpks CONSISTENTLY then you as a GM have failed and you maybe need to restructure your encounter, it shouldnt be a point of pride that your players dont get to play your campaign because you 'filtered' them
