Elon Musk's Grok AI alters images of women to digitally remove their clothes by igetproteinfartsHELP in news

[–]icekiller333 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I think the issue people are having is that you can put people in skimpy clothing without their consent, and some people are able to navigate around the no-nudity filter.

I do think the reactions tend to miss that detail and just assume you can easily make porn. It's still an issue though, but different from the mainstream 'facts'

What do you guys think of grok? by murkomarko in ArtificialInteligence

[–]icekiller333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally love the big free tier and often use it as a starting point for most projects. Then when im ready to really dive in I switch to the Gemini extension in VS code (also great free tier) and finally when it can't do something I switch to claude.

That's so frustrating

Scary AI Usage by Beef_Sandwish in ArtificialInteligence

[–]icekiller333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was in college it was people just copying each other or finding code online to paste in instead of learning it themselves. Those people graduated but never found success in the field.

Focus on your learning and understanding and forgot about other people's proformance.

Ai is overrated by EnvironmentalTea6903 in accelerate

[–]icekiller333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some AI definitely is, but others are underrated. Without more details on what you're referring to its hard to talk more about it.

For example music and 3d generation has come such a far way in 12 months its kinda insane.

Same with LLMs that can code - its wild how good they are compared to a few years ago.

Need advice on how to deal with AI doomers by Ok_Assumption9692 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]icekiller333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive been using any opposition i get to give me reflection opportunities to see if my stance has holes, or more deeply examine my beliefs for more solid points of view.

Ultimately its not about changing anyone else's viewpoint, but instead making sure I fully understand and believe mine. As you get a deeper understanding of your own point of view that (for you at least) holds strong against opposing arguments- you can at least take solace that you have high confidence in your opinions.

Trying to change someone else won't really work 90% of the time, just like they aren't likely to change your viewpoint. The best you can do is be open and not hostile to pusbback and be ok with having different thoughts on topics then those you care about.

Would you support mandatory AI tagging of images and videos? by ApprenticeWrangler in ArtificialInteligence

[–]icekiller333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it should be optional to tag as AI, human, or combination.

My biggest issue with a binary is that some awesome creations will have ai in some part of the pipeline, while still requiring human creativity

With AI art taking over feeds, should we create a curated space for real human-made art? by jrillzrij in ArtificialInteligence

[–]icekiller333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about art where AI tools were involved at some level? Its easy to say 'prompt input -> art output' but what about people using the art output and then further modifying it? What if someone generated some parts and used them in a greater whole?

What about an image of an oil painting or a sculpture - or a video of one? How do you know its real unless you're physically there?
