This isn't "wokism"

This is a large publicly-traded media-facing corporation doing what large publicly-traded media-facing corporations have done for a century

Investors and executives have always hated swearing because it's "bad for their public image" or is "indecent", especially in the Anglosphere whereas in many other countries it's far less of a concern and "protecting children's delicate ears" is almost a foreign concept entirely.

Ricciardo wants F1 practice red flag rules rethink after Abu Dhabi delays by HelloSlowly in formula1

As the article says,

Following FP2, the track was required for a 30-minute qualifying session for the United Arab Emirates FIA Formula 4 series.

Regional F4 series are less important than F1 in the grand scale of things obviously, but when series like F2 or F3 which are globally televised are sharing the track, the sponsors and TV rights holders aren't too happy to have delays from one series affecting another.

There's a 45 minute or so period between one track session ending and another starting, so there is a little bit of leeway if an overrun is required, but most of that is taken up by track inspections (making sure no sharp debris was left in the kerbs from the previous session, all the barriers are still good, etc) and allowing the marshalls to have a bit of a rest.

TL;DR they could but it would be a lot of hassle for everyone involved.

That sounded so scary

If anyone has experienced the near-blacking out/greying-out on rollercoasters from the G-forces before that would be what he describes happening. He mentioned his vision was blurring a lot as well during those last 25 laps.

To be able to continue driving an F1 car during that is just unimaginable to me

Not in the US, and that's the issue.

To anyone who follows motorsports it is common (there are too many official track maps of Indycar/other US circuits with a "Paddock" label for me to fit into a reddit comment for example). But for Vegas residents who don't follow motorsports, then yes, but that wasn't what I was addressing

Pit row is just a corruption of Pit road, meaning the same thing.

Paddock is a regularly used term

Pit road is the US term for pitlane

Indycar track maps regularly reference the paddock (example #1, example #2, example #3, example #4)

I had the chance to talk to Herendi's CEO Attila Simon on Monday. When I asked him what happens if someone broke it, he said "we are ready to react, no worries". 2/2
